Well, I wanted to put in one of these in my ceiling J box. looked liked it would fit, but no. Got it all hooked up and then tried to slide it up and into the J box. HOWEVER, the J box nubs for the screws stuck out too far into the center and the light recess for the nubs was too small.
So taking it back to Home Depot tomorrow. I hope I can find something with bigger tolerances so can fit one in.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by pepe67 Exactly what I wanted
I purchased the lights to replace six 45w can lights. They are much brighter than the old lights and the fact that they are not recessed means they cast more light into the room. I also bought a dimmer (TGCL-153PR-WH Toggler 150-Watt Single Pole/3-Way Preset CFL-LED Dimmer) which makes the new lights very flexible. The lights were very easy to install. It took 30 minutes at most to put in all six.
The other benefit was that they are sealed. My old can lights leaked lots of cold air in the winter! These are a vast improvement.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Buzz Remodel of Office Lighting
Great product for remodeling office space that needed more light. It will also be good for current and future energy savings. Replaced a low light chandelier appx. 75W with 6 12W LED 4" recessed commercial can lights that are very bright and are now controlled by a dimmer. Installation was accomplished by placing cans on 32" centers powered from old ceiling fixture wiring. Cans or Junction boxes are Carlon1-Gang 18 cu. in. Round used for remodeling. The ceiling boxes have a height of about only 2 3/4" . The light hardware fits within the box. It takes very little ceiling space. They do not put out heat, but run cool. Fixture holes were drilled with slow speed 4" hole saw after locating ceiling beams. The junction boxes need to be located so that they will clear the beams. Wiring was accessed by drilling 1/2" holes through the middle of the ceiling beams with a 3' flex drill sold in most electrical departments. Beams are on 16' centers and in two lights we had to drill through two beams. The 4' hole allows sufficient access that it is relatively easy to locate correct 1/2" hole placement once the bit is engaged in the beam. The power drill easily bores through the beam with the drill appx a foot below the ceiling, the shaft of the bit fulcrums off the edge of the access hole. Use the ceiling as a help to your curving the bit. The edge of the hole, at least a 1/4" will be covered by the box if you have some scaring of the edge. Pull your wiring and seat your junction boxes. Wire the lights per instructions. Placed blank on old fixture junction box, will probably use it for future fan.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jess Love these lights!
We used these lights to replace some drab & dated hallway lights in our 70's era home. What a difference! They look fantastic. We love that we can get the recessed light look just attached to regular junction boxes. The color of the light is very attractive.
Two things to note: The box is labeled "warm white" instead of "soft white" like here in the website. This led to some confusion in-store when we went to purchase. However, the SKU & kelvin rating are the same. Also, our junction boxes are too shallow to house these (we have a lot of wires) so we had to replace them with new, deeper boxes. At first we were put off by this, but it was not actually difficult. We used old-work j-boxes & did not damage the ceilings at all. The new j-boxes are much better anyway.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sean These are great. They dim just fine.
Install tip if you have romex coming into and out of the box: cut off factory connector and put a wago 4x "wall nut" on each of the 3 wires. You can do this at your bench.
Then you can connect it into the box very quickly, and its easy to fit the wires in.

I purchased two of these, both in soft white. Unfortunately one was packaged wrong and was cool white in color and the other occasionally flickered. Also they each had different mounting clips which was odd.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIYHomeowner looks great, easy to install, even when replacing Jbox
I replaced my old Jbox with the correct size and if fit perfect. Earlier reviewer had issues with correct screws for Jbox. I found it easier to install if I pre-installed the mounting screws and then take them out, therefore making it easier to reinstall the screws on final installation. The fit was not so tight. I used them in my 2nd story hallway and found them extremely bright. Much easier that installing 4" can lights. The profile is very small. Looks great compared to the old surface mount light fixtures. Also found it easier to take the grd wire off the light fixture, then reinstall after making all the wire connections in the jbox. Not much room in the Jbox.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LouFa Excellent product for replacing old lighting
The hardest part of the job is removing the old light fixture, but once that is done, the installation of the light is a breeze. Simple electrical connections and just screw it into the old receptacle.
