Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MKChicago Great once you figure out the installation! Here is how...
I just got done installing 7 of these in my house and felt compelled to write a review ASAP to help other people install these. I spent 2 days trying to get these to be flush and was getting very frustrated. The instructions are not very clear and I could not get them to sit flush with ceiling. It sounds like that was also a problem for some other people. It turns out I was installing them incorrectly. Once I figured it out, they sat perfectly.
Here is how you do it: After removing the old bulb and trim, screw the new bulb connector in and connect the two sets of wires by pushing the two orange connectors together. The light should now be hanging from the housing. Now, inside the housing look for a set of prongs (look like rabbit ears) sticking out on each side of the housing about two inches up. In one of my cans these were bent flush with the housing so I had to pull them out with some pliers. Once you have located those, take your new bulb assembly and pinch the two metal wires together on each side. With them pinched together, slide them inside the prongs (rabbit ears) on each side of the housing (see photo). Now push up. If you did it correctly, it should almost feel like the light is sucking itself towards the ceiling.
Hope this helps somebody so you don't have the same pain as I had. Or maybe I am just a moron :)

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Webjester One of the best values in LED lighting
I purchased 6 of these units for use with HALO 6" recessed housings (Air-tight) and am very impressed with the quality. I used a Lutron dimmer comparable with LED's and these things range from very dim to stupid bright with no buzzing or annoying hum.
Speaking of buzzing: One out of the 6 made a really loud humming/buzzing noise when on. I promptly exchanged it at the Home Depot and the replacement is just as quiet as the other 5.
As far as coloration is concerned, this product has a CRI of 90 which is quite good when compared with the similar (warm white, 6") HALO product which has a CRI of 80 and costs $15 more per unit.
Extremely pleased with this product.
+ High CRI for the price point
+ Compatible with 5 and 6 inch recessed housings
+ Works well with comparable dimmers for a wide range of brightness
+ Gets very bright at full voltage
+ Comes with adaptor for standard bulb
- Some may buzz (if they do, exchange them for another unit)
- You may save a lot of money when buying these over the HALO brand... This could lead to more money in your pocket which could be used for buying beer and encouraging alcoholism.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MJTR Too good to be TRUE!
I see something and think this looks like it would be a nice upgrade. Usually it is something that is too good to be true. This is NOT one of those times. The recessed lights in my living room look AMAZING! I have several others that I think I will upgrade as well. For the living room I purchased 8 and that was the best $200 I have spent in a long time. My kids all want to upgrade theirs now. That is just for the look of them, now for the light they put out, AMAZING! They are dimmable also. All 8 took 15 minutes to install. If there was a 10 I would give it to this product!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Peep Replaced all my flood lights with these
I purchased my first retrofit light at Costco. I was hooked on the brightness of light and low generation of heat (we don't have ac). At around $20, these lights were price comparable and the Costco light was too bright. These give off a perfect amount of light!
Pro- easy to install, snug airtight fit, retrofit clips included if you need them. I took out the original springs and these light were a snap to install.
Cons- at first I disappointed that the are not as rescessed as the Cree brand LED light from Costco. They seem to be more of a down light rather than flooding the room with even lighting. Second is that when they turn off, the LED bulbs must be orange. I can see them through the lens. However, I have got used to the change and it doesn't bother me now. Especially when I will see my electric bill. Lighting comprises about 1/2 of the electricity bill in homes w/o ac. So I'm told!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIY113 Great quality light
We are building a new home and these lights interested us because they are LED and I like how they are completely sealed. When we built our last home we had simple trims with the GE reveal flood bulbs. I compared this light and found that the temperature and lumens were comparable to the incandescent floods. I found them first online and then went into the store to purchase them. Compared to the other more expensive lights in the store, I think this one looks very nice. We need 60 for our home so I thought I would test them out by installing six on our porch ceiling. The one negative comment that I read here was the one where it did not fit snug against the ceiling. This stuck in the back of mind during my install. My first two lights fit great but then I had one with a gap. The others literally "sucked" up into the ceiling with the powerful spring clips but this one was not the same. I investigated and realized that the spring clips were hitting the inner socket plate so I removed the plate..... then read the instructions (I'm male) where it says to remove the whole socket bracket assembly. I just removed the plate and kept the bracket so the socket was supported inside the can (see picture). After this, all of my lights sucked up tight to the ceiling. The install looks great, I wont have to worry about bugs showing in my cans, and now I only have 54 more to go!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tech LED light and beautiful trim
I love the look of these. They seem to almost disappear into the ceiling. Very low profile and sleek look. The light and the trim are all one piece so there is no more gap between the bulb and the can. This unit replaces the cheap trim that the previous owners had on the can. These were same price as purchasing CFL so it's a no-brainer. LED is also dimmable. I am excited to try these in a normal light box when finishing my basement. Basically "fake-a-can" since this unit is the trim and light in one, as explained in the instructions.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Eric Eliminate's drafts through recessed can and saves energy
We recently bought a house which had four recessed lighting fixture in the living room. We found that on cold days, we had major drafts coming through them, since there was no insulation between the joists which caused us to lose lots of heat. We heard these were air tight with their integrated trim and gasket under the trip. We tried getting the cree’s but they require a 6 inch can and our are 5.5 inches so these fit. They are so low profile you don’t even need a recessed can. If you are installing new, you can simply use junction boxes. How awesome is that? Installation was a breeze. Not only are we saving on electric, we are saving on heat as well by preventing drafts. Plus these even look better with their integrated trim. We plan to get 4 more for our kitchen.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ZaCarrie Awesome! add a rebate and Doubly Awesome!
These are fantastic. Just bought them for $30 with a $20 rebate from the power company, so $10 each!
They look really nice, and they are very bright with a nice uniform warm light. It completely transformed our great room and looked great. It took me about 4 minutes per can light to install. That's from opening up a box to getting ready to pick up the next box. That includes making the adjustments for a 5" can, removing the old trim and light, and installing. Just installed them tonight and love them!
