We bought these for a second home to add some additional light in kitchen along with some low decorative lighting so we went with this set of puck lights with dimmer. It is very bulky with each light having a plug in, 2 extension cords amd the final box plug that plugs into your wall. In what world are you supposed to neatly hide all that?? Think about spending more money and getting some lights that join with small wires to each other. We put them farther toward the front of the cabinets to get better countertop lighting as someone suggested-- we have funny arc shadows on the backsplash wall so not sure if this would have looked differently or not. I would recommend holding a light up and moving it around and test how it looks before attaching them . We put them 14" apart which seems to give pretty good even lighting below. I do like the touch dimmer so far. Just hate the ugliness of cords and more cords.

Super easy to install. It's so nice how simple it was to shorten the lengths of the cords. Very cool feature! These make our kitchen look like something out of a magazine!! Love, love, LOVE the dimming feature!

I purchased these puck lights for installation in a display cabinet. The package is ridiculously hard to open even with special scissors. Installation is unnecessarily difficult as the instructions have you buying a 2 3/8" hole saw for recessed mounting,if you want . That size is almost impossible to find and will add another $24.00 to your purchase (Milwaukee makes a hole saw that size. The hole saw also requires a mandrel. I suggest anyone using this hole saw practice on a piece of wood first and make sure you drill a pilot hole with a drill bit first. Don't try to drill a pilot "divet" with the Milwaukee mandrel or it will slip, ruining your workpiece). The next challenge is what to do with all the over sized chords-especially if you are using all 6 lights as I was. They are all the thickness of a standard extension cord and quickly become a big mess. The instructions do let you cut them shorter, but they are too thick. Then you have to mount the transformer, which is what the lights plug into. You can't screw down the transformer as there are no holes to do so, so they give you foam adhesive tape. Hmm. Seriously?? There wasn't even any in my package! I just used packaging tape. I suppose I could glue it down. Not very elegant. The plugs that go into the transformer are loose. You will have to bend the prongs to get a better fit but they are not tight enough. Then there is a dimmer switch which plugs into the transformer. It fits very loosely and is doesn't not provide a flicker free fit. The dimmer switch works by tapping with your finger and you can have 4 settings, off, 1, 2, 3 levels of brightness. I tested the watts used with all 6 lights are connected and I got 50 watts at level 1, 90 watts at level 2 and 120 watts at level 3. The light quality good but is definitely in the reddish region. I'd prefer whiter. I have my doubts about the longevity of the components.
It is difficult to find adequate puck lights at this price range and therefore this maybe your best, if far from perfect, bet.

This product once unpackaged is the worst looking light set up I've ever seen. It's has bulky black power cords that connect to another bulky junction before it can connect to a power source.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GMBGroup Versatile, good lighting product!
I've used this lighting kit to retrofit under kitchen cabinets, for under shelf custom built-in's and for a custom library / den. With a good design plan you can hide all the wiring, though you may need to add an outlet above the cabinets. Still a relatively easy task. Dimmer function really appeals to most customers as well as no batteries to constantly replace. Recessing the light pucks makes for a sleek, clean look.

I never reccomend that amateurs mess with electrical work and this is no exception. These lights look and work great, but pleeeeease don't try to install them yourself...for insurance and safety purposes!
