Bought these for a basement space with a drop ceiling. Mounting clip onto T grid making that part of the installation easy. The wiring was just as easy. The push blocks inside mean you just strip back the wiring and insert. If you are adding more in a line you simply plug in more wires to run to the next light. No twisting wires into wire nuts or taping. 3 spots if you want to plug in more than one. This makes hooking them up simple. Also if you want to add in more lights later it's a simple matter of plugging in the wires.

the socket broke on 2 out of 8 lamps after I have installed them under drywall. See the picture and decide for yourself if 1 mm of metal is enough to hold the socket in place. I say this is a design flaw. So, this product has few good feature but it has one critical weakness.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Eric worked good for me
I used these to add recessed lights to my kitchen since I had attic access about the kitchen, installed 7 of them. Used the model 360-300 adjustable hole cutter to make the holes in the ceiling. I was glad I practiced on a scrap piece of drywall first as I found the 6 1/4" hole didn't allow the housing to sit flush so made the hole a little over 6 1/2". Maybe that wasn't the right thing to do but it seems to be working great for me and the gasket seals up the hole real good.
Wiring these up is easy with size 14 wire. I really like the jumper block way of doing it, made it simple to wire up one housing to the next. The hold down tabs for the wire openings were a little tight for me at first so I had to loosen them a bit to get the romex in, and then used a nail down wire hold down on a stud in case someone tugged on it.
I installed LED retrofit bulbs in these and was really simple. Only had to put the light adapter in the socket then cable it up. I did have to push the light bulb socket in the housing all the way to the back to get them to fit but that was easy. Then put the retrofit bulb spring clips into the clip holders in the housing and push it up and you are done.
The price was great on these, I bought 1 six pack of them and then 1 extra one. Costco had a great deal on 6" LED retrofit bulbs recently so it made my cost less than $20 for each light for both housing and bulb.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ted2012 Great price, great can light.
Bought 4 of the Commercial Electric 6" can lights for our living room (new addition). they seat nicely between 8" floor joists with about 1/4" gap headroom at the subfloor above. The same brand white baffle I purchased to test out just one light fixture worked out nicely and finishes the look of the fixture. I'll pick up 3 more of those to finish off the others. The pigtail connectors inside the electrical box on these lights are a breeze. just remember to buy a pack of those romex to metal box tightener rings. I forget what they are actually called, but you do not want that line coming in to rub on the razor sharp metal enclosure. secure it nicely. So, great affordable recessed lighting, grab a nice warm glow 10.5 Philips dimmable and there you have a great light.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Toppro77 Has a weird smell when lit
The fixture installed quite easily and they look alright. The only thing I found that made me give it 3 stars is that when the lights are on for about an hour you get a smell from the cans that resemble burning plastic and I don't have any trim installed on the cans yet. This smell is coming from the cans. I hope it is only temporary, but I have had them installed for a week now and no matter what wattage of bulb I am using it still has that smell. I am using 40 watt in two of the cans and a 100 watt in one can.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Steve Terrible to install
First off, I had to remove the tracks and shorten them, which was quite a difficult job as they didn't want to fit back together well afterwards. Once I was done, I tried to fasten the fixture in place and rather than the nails break loose from the supports they were wedged into, the supports completely twisted around. Electrically it looks good, but I would only use in perfect conditions.

These were a beautiful addition to our home. My husband Bill, who is practically blind (good thing for me, ive gained some weight over the years) can see a lot better because of the better. The quality of light these puppies put out is just awesome. Now, if i could only install something to shut his mouth up, my life would be better. JK! They were also easy to install.
