I'm encountering telephone line and RF interference using wireless telephone and headsets when these lights are on. What could be the cause?
Asked by: BuzzingEars
RF interference is usually caused by electronic products. Our product does not have any electronics. Are you using LED or Fluorescent Light bulbs or an LED Retrofit trim? They could be the source of the interference. Another source of interference may be due to a dimmer. Are you using a dimmer? If you are using LED or fluorescent lights bulbs or LED Retrofit Trims, swap them with regular incandescent bulbs. If you are using a dimmer, swap it out with a regular switch. See if the swap eliminates the interference. If not, the source of the interference is coming from somewhere else

Only lighting before was from the ceiling fans. These go in super simple as long as you know where your trusses are in your attic before drilling out your 6.25" hole. Once the hole is cut you slap this baby up in there and use a flat head screw driver to get the clips nice and tight. If cutting your hole immediately next to a truss you will have to pay attention to where your clips are going BEFORE you start pushing them in...not so easy to get them back out after going in. Wires are easy to install as they come pre-fabbed with the push in connectors. You should be able to do most everything without even getting into your attic until you are ready to wire them to the switch.

I installed four of these cans (SKU#693064) in conjunction with the Philips LED Recessed Retrofit Trim. I wired them to a Lutron CL Dimmer switch. Product worked as promised. This model required 6 1/4" holes to be drilled in my drywall ceiling. I used the Milwaukee adjustable hole saw which I purchased at HD for approximately $25 plus tax. The cans fit snugly and the three mounting clips inside the cans held them firmly to the ceiling. You use a flat head screwdriver to FIRMLY press up and set the clips. I really liked the quick connect wiring clips that come with the cans. This made the wiring easy and quick. Total cost of the project (less the wire) was approximately $145 which included tax. Total time spent on the project 4 hours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recessed 6pk. Amazing These are the easiest upgrades you can do for your dated home lighting. Took one day to do 2 bedrooms, indoor entry, and kitchen. The house looks amazingly different.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Could be better This is not an entirely bad light fixture overall, but it has some bad features. For instance, the metal flange that is supposed to anchor the fixture against the ceiling is not big enough to hold the light very securely (it's just barely big enough to grab the drywall and keep the light from disappearing into the attic), especially if you cut the hole to the exact dimension of the template that comes with the fixture. So, either cut the hole a little smaller than the template for a tighter fit, or get a fixture with a larger metal flange. Also, the slider that allows you to adjust the height of the bulb is pretty cheesy. If I could do it over again, I would spend more money for a more substantial fixture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They work great These work as advertised. If you take the time to install them they work perfectly. The connectors are also very good for DIYers. Do not hesitate or spend more money, these work great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good I was torn between these and the Halo brand which cost a bit more money. If I was only doing a couple of lights I wouldn't be so price conscious but I am installing 28 so it adds up. For lights I am using the CREE 65 watt equivalent LED retrofit. I went to the store and played with both of them in person. They both seemed of equal quality. I decided to do one room first, than decide if I should stick with them. So far I am very happy with them. I cut the hole for them slightly small, nice tight fit. I have not had any issues cracking the sheet rock ceilings. The cans hold nice and tight. The wiring connectors are easy to use. I am using Romex connectors with them for added security with 14/2 cable. At this point I have 12 installed, and am returning to buy the remainder of them tonight. The people who say the metal is too thin must be ham handed, if the hole is cut to the right size you don't need to push hard at all. Same for the metal bottom ring, if it is cut right, they fit perfect. Test fit the light you are putting in there first to make sure everything lines up nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good product I installed 6 of these recessed cans after a remodel in my kitchen. Holes were cut the same size as the template. Easy to wire up, using 14/2 romex, and the plug in wire connectors are easy to use. Cans installed quite nicely. Hint: use a flat blade screwdriver to push up on the wire lock, to pull the can up to the ceiling for a good, flush fit. For the light itself, I installed the Commercial Electric warm white LEDs. These LED lights are much brighter than I thought! I then installed a Lutron dimmer, which is one of the dimmers that was recommended by the manufacturer. Dimmer works great and make absolutely no buzzing sound. Overall, it took me about 2 hours for the installation. Follow the instructions, and you shouldn't have any problems!
