The packaging further indicates not to use this housing with any LED retrofit kits except those made by the manufacturer. It doesn't place those restrictions on any other type of bulb, though.

Answer:
In this day and age, don't waste your time putting in anything other than R30 LEDs. There is no long term cost benefit analysis where you would want to put incandescents. Given that, they draw about 9 watts each, so your theoretical maximum is about 175 of them, far more than you would ever install on one circuit. Talk of 100 watt bulbs in these is silly. The LEDs stay much, much cooler also.

If you are going to use LED , you can install too many of they, it all depends on the load you are going to pull from one circuit.

Answer:
The housing is irrelevant to loading. It will be wholly dependent on the the number and type of light plus any additional loads on the circuit along with wiring. Typically lighting is on a 15a breaker with 14 gauge (14/2) wiring. With nothing else on it you could put about (14) 100 watt lights on the circuit.

Answer:
You can install up to 100% of your lighting amperage capacity, meaning if you have a 15 amp circuit you are allowed to use all 15 amps which is (for example) 15 fixtures with 100 watt light bulbs in them for a total of 1,500 watts. If you were to use the new LED bulbs you could have (for example) 100 fixtures with 11 watt LED bulbs in them for a total of 1,100 watts.

If the baffle trim has a hole in the end (the size of the light socket) then you remove the plate and snap the light socket in to the baffle trim( with the two clips).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So much simpler than I thought! I'm glad I read the reviews before purchasing, as these were so simple to install. I was adding 8 cans to a vaulted ceiling, and standing on top of a 16 foot ladder while trying to wire a complicated light fixture would have been terrible if that fixture wasn't one of these. They fit perfectly into the holes, the clips hold extremely well, and the quick wiring adapter is heaven sent. Literally these reduced my install time to minutes for all 8 lights (once I got all the wires run!). August 9, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome remodel can Easy to install in drywall. They have good quality clips to hold them in the ceiling and wago tyype wire connectors in the j box. October 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rubbish I've had several of these units fail while finishing out installation. When inserting the bulb, the socket ring cracked and shattered causing the bulb to fall out of the socket. This is not something that can be repaired and required the replacement of the whole unit. A handful of the housings were out of round, which made fitting them through the hole a bit difficult. The J-box on it is actually pretty nice. I didn't like how rigid the arm supporting it was. For a reno unit, you'd hope to have a little more play so you can address the work you're tying into. January 24, 2016
