Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install trim for pot lights. I am slowly but surely plugging away at a DIY basement remodeling project. This 6-in white open trim is just what I needed to put the finishing professional touch on my ceiling pot lights once the ceiling is installed. The instructions are easy to follow even though I am an amateur when it comes to this type of work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent product I don't have previous experience with recessed light fixtures, so I could be wrong about this... but it seems like these are not a great value. It's just the trim for the light fixtures, so you have to buy the fixtures seperately, and when it's all done you've spent a lot of money just to put basic lights in the ceiling. The only case I would recommend these would be a basement with low ceilings where you don't have other good options for lighting. And even then, I think the more economical and most attractive way to go is just putting floor lamps in the room, or install lights along the walls. I'm checking Yes for recommend only because there's nothing inherently wrong with these - it's not a bad product, just not my preference.
