Installed 4 lights about 2 weeks ago as replacement for 2 fluorescent tubes. Much brighter and whiter light. Installed dimmer since light was too bright.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Madscientist42 Outperformed an LED or Incandesent in the stock configuration in the can...
I just bought two of these for replacing a damaged trim/lense set that was on the downlights over my bathtub and shower.
Like most of the modern LED solutions these days, they were largely simple and painless to install. The Edison base adapter screwed into the socket and then the light plugged into the adapter and the spring clips were just like the trim plates would've had, just clip them to the hooks in the can and push the whole fixture into place.
End result was actually beyond merely impressive.
People just don't realize just how much light they lose out of a downlight can unless it's polished or you're using a reflector flood (NOT reccomended for this particular application, by the way...)- the light from a true 75 watt bulb in the can with the lens and trim doesn't compare to the results these retrofit kits give. (This is WHY some complain about the things being "too bright". They don't realize that they're dropping about "20-40 watts" of light on the floor with the downlight design.)
If you're replacing anything other than reflector floods with these, you'll probably find the same thing I did. I'll be pulling the 75 watt LEDs in the other locations and replacing them with these shortly- and moving the LEDs elsewhere since they're still good. If you're replacing 60w reflector floods, you'll get the same basic results with these with less heat and power consumption.

i just installed a set of 4 of these in my bedroom 16'x16'. I have to say i love these lights. i was a little concerned that there was not going to be enough light because they were LED but i was plesantly surprised that there was more than enough light from the four of these lights. I was amazed how this lighting has COMPLETELY transformed the look of my bedroom that it doesnt even seem like my bedroom anymore.( but in a good way) I have these lights on a dimmer becuase sometimes there is just a little too much light. overall i love these lights and wish i would have purchased more as they were on sale. Installation was simple just plug and play

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kiran Bright energy-saving light - easy to install even for a beginner
I picked these up at the San Carlos, CA location.
First, the person (didnt remember to get his name) was amazingly helpful. He explained - how easy it was to replace my existing halogen cans from the recessed fixture with these.
Second, there was a PG&E discount on it - so it cost me $29.97 each.
Third, once I got home, I was able to replace it in under 5 min for each location. Kitchen sink, bathrooms, and other 6" can locations.
Fourth, the light was nice and bright.
The only thing that is a little negative was that there is a very very slight but noticeable delay in the light coming on.
Overall, would recommend it for everyone.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by reviewer12 Easy to install, great quality of light
a couple years ago we installed LED lights and my wife didn't like the type of light at all - it was kind of blueish and almost like a special effects light. We installed these lights and may like them even more than traditional incandescent light - the technology on these things has really improved. I also tried a dimmable CFL bulb, but was not as bright and not great looking- didn't like it so much. We use these in the basement playroom, tv room, bathroom. I also think they look much better than traditional canisters where you can see up into the can. Great bright light and really easy to install./

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by puplover Excellent Value at the in-store price!
I just installed six of these, definitely brighter than what they replaced (CFL & incandescent), so the dimmer is 'maxed out' on low and still the room is brighter. I used a $20 Lutron dimmer that notes LEDs on the pack, since my old dimmer was shot.
The Commercial LED trim ring ceiling gasket (silicone rubber) is a great feature, since all the cold air rushing past into the cans and out to the attic suddenly just stops! Some brands Sylvania & one Halo model I examined) have no soft gasket, and much of the value is in that feature, said our professional home energy auditor.
I intend to use another six in a kitchen, and total install time is under 5 minutes per fixture including pulling old trim rings off, truly an easy product to use.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by lmeile A real energy saver
We bought 10 of these retrofit lights a little over a year ago.
-This light fits in both 6" and 5" can lights. Not all do. (we had 5" cans)
- It installs easily.
- It produces a lot of light for little power.
- It is dimmable.
- It produces a blue-white light, not as soothing as the more yellow cast of the incandescents they replaced.
- When on full dimmer, they are still quite bright. I could dim the incandescents all the way down to a faint red glow.
- One of the units failed (when running dimmed) after only a couple of dozen hours of running.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by DIYDAN OK. Not the best, ugly yellow dot in the center.
These are pretty good. Nice style and large trim is very classy. They have a yellow dot in the middle of them when they are off that really ruins the whole thing. It’s just the LED behind the diffuser but you can see it when they are off and it’s just ugly.
They dim great. Strange flash at the bottom of the dimmer I did not like and all the adjustments couldn’t remove.
They do not look as good as the T65 (lil brother) but are MUCH better than the T65 overall.
I would say these are a good deal, but without question the HALO Model # RL560WH-R are by far better. Better build, much better dimming.
These do look ok when on, but nasty yellow dot when off. Not a bad choice, but not the best IMO after testing them all together.
