Echoing DBraumeister, the installation is unnecessarily difficult due to a design flaw. The spring clips are terminated in an "L" shape. On my Progress Lighting cans, the "L" rotates outward when the clips are pinched together to install and 3 out of 4 times slip into the cutout in the can above where the clip goes. (Judging from some of the other reviews, this may not be as much of an issue with other brands of cans and/or if your hands are smaller and more nimble than mine.) Extricating the clip from the hole in the can often results in the clip's being bent, rendering the trim useless. The situation is exacerbated by the clips' not being firmed attached to the trim, making it hard to maneuver. Ended up getting one to work and trashing two. I'll be trying a different brand, one with the clips terminated in a more user friendly closed circle.
When they work, they look fine. And the price is good.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by HRM4 great looking recessed trim
Very few trims available for Halo H7ICT housing - especially with socket plate missing from previous owner (when they installed Halo 78P Eyeball which this trim replaced). This has integrated socket holder. H.D. summary slightly incorrect - this trim is for both IC and Non-IC housings - stated right on the box. Agree with other reviewer - torsion springs are cheap and bend outwards when installing in recessed can. I twisted them with pliers to allieviate somewhat. Once in - it looks very good and holds tightly to ceiling - used in laundry room.

I purchased 3 of these and they were very easy to install and look great!! I have no issues and they sit flush to the ceiling!! They make the room look brighter because the white brights it up when the lights are turned on!! I did attach a picture but don't mind around it I had to touch up the paint!!

These are a great price and look fine, but the springs on them aren't strong enough to hold the trim flush against the ceiling when you use heavy LED bulbs. If you don't mind a little gap these are fine, but I returned them.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by DBraumeister Installation is more painful than necessary
Baffle trims (8) are up and the look good. The spring clips attached to install these could not be more poorly designed. The sharp hook edges spin out during assembly making the 'hook' difficult. Making matters worse, the sharp edges of the outward turned hooks want to dig into the cans making final seating a bit of a pain.
Only reason for recommendation is we think the appearance is better than most of Home Depot's offerings.
