I want to use this product for above cabinet lighting. I have 7 cabinets that are not physically touching. There is an outlet above each of them that share a circuit. A wall switch controls all the outlets.

If I buy 7 kits, will I be able to control all of the lighting at the same time with a single remote?

Will the controllers remember their programming (color, fade, etc...) after I cut power to them using the wall switch?

Thanks in advance

The short answer is yes. The wall switch will be able to turn them all on and off with no problems. One remote can control all units with the following caveats:
- remote sensors/receivers have to be placed so that they can all pick up the signal at once
- the timing of the color fade option may not always be in sync

- the timing of the color fade option may not always be in sync
I have two units installed in my kitchen - one on top of the cabinets and one underneath. I installed the sensors to allow for BOTH unified and individual function, based on my lighting needs. If I aim the remote at an individual sensor, I can change the options for just that set. If I aim it between the sensors, I can select the same option for both sets. However, I have found that when selecting an option in which the colors change, one set will change faster than the other, and the lights will be out of sync. This may be because one of my sets had to be split using the supplied connectors (to get around a corner). Or, this may just be a variance in the timing of the units in general. In my situation, I have chosen to leave the undercabinet lights one solid color, while setting the uppers to change colors. Hope this helps you decide. :) Read Less

Each unit will respond to the same remote control. They operate on the same frequency. Reception is highly directional, however, and unless the remote is pointed in such manner that it is aimed at each unit you may have to press the button more than once. Each unit will retain their own setting. if trying to change settings you might have to point and click more than once.

It is considered an "RGB" set. It produces red, green and blue and several other colors in the spectrums, including 'white' (which is actually a very light blue). I believe there are a total of about 20 colors. The remote allows you to choose each individual solid color or choose a blinking or fading program that cycles through them all.

The unit only comes with a 4-inch connector. You can order longer connectors if needed, but not sure what lengths they come in. This is designed for a single-space installation. If the 2 TVs are located next to each other in the display case, you should be able to purchase additional connectors to make that installation work. Otherwise, you will need separate units for each location. Hope that helps. :)

Another option is to use the Armacost brand RGB tape light. I say this because we carry connectors and fittings online, the only brand we sell that does.
Below is a link of the 8 ft. RGB tape light. You will need a power pack and RGB controller for this to work.

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 107 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good product - Poor Design This product has some huge issues. The lesser issue is that it's _extremly_ difficult to pull the thick plastic coating away from the actual LED strip. The instructions say to do this by hand. Good luck. The other bigger issue is in cutting and connecting the strip. It's next to impossible to get a good connection as the connectors are still going to be coated with glue! I spent an hour checking all of the connections only to discover this was the issue. I then spent about 30 minutes with acetone removing most of the glue so that a connection could be made. Sorry, this is a huge design flaw and it's made worse because the instructions don't mention this issue any where. The strip is pretty bright. At full power the light easily reaches 3 feet in low light situations. It dims to about 1/2 brightness. The multiple colors are great. July 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best nightlight ever! The instllation was a snap as all I had to do was peel away the backing and press onto the lip under the bathroom cabinet. We prefer the solid blue lights but our granddaughter likes the strobe effect. It makes a great nightlight. It could also be installed at the bottom of the cabinet but this way, it gives more light. No need to leave the overhead light on anymore. July 5, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Really Like, but having Troubles I love this product I am a licensed electrician. These are great for all kinds of lighting solutions, however, they are difficult to splice together. I also have a problem losing the red light spectrum in sections causing color problems. For Bright White Light they are great. August 11, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Impossible to splice I concur with those reviewers who struggled to splice two sections together. It's impossible to do so without damaging the delicate copper terminals when you remove the clear rubber coating. If you're able to use the full length of the light tape without trimming or splicing, the product should work fine. If not, look at those products which come in precut lengths with factory applied connectors. August 6, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great until I needed to cut and splice This is a great product if you don't have to cut it and connect it. The plastic coating over the LED's is, per instructions, to be peeled back by hand. I tried for 3 hours to get it to work but the green color wouldn't connect. I'm an electronic technician by trade and this product beat me. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product A great product. Works perfectly and couldn't be easier. I wish the product included more than 2 extentions to allow more flexibility in layout and apparently so d o other people. At least twice when purchasing at the store, I have had to return the product because people have robbed the box of the extention wires. Make sure the box has all the parts and if so this is one of the best LED light buys I have found. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is the exact thing I needed! They are now mounted on top of my front door. According to the holiday, season, or regular day is what color I put on. When I unpluged the strip from the adapter, the plug fell inward. Luckily I was able to open the unit easily and fix it in 5 minutes. While I had the unit opened I realized the circuit in mine was high quality. This unit is now running just as it had before. I have had (and still am) been using this unit running every night for 1 year (sun-set to sun-up) and is awesome. THIS IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I dont care about that price, ill buy 4 more. I will post another review of this product with another photo. October 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install We were looking for some lighting for under a bar top and these fit the bill. I was worried the tape backing wouldn't hold, but it is holding great and it has been up for at least 3 weeks. Super easy to install. July 5, 2016
