I did not see any way to get inside the diffuser to change a bulb. I think the whole fixture would need to be changed. I was not concerned since it is rated to last 20 years!

I had the same thought. You would replace the fixture. There is no way to open it up to change the bulb. It is supposed to last 32 years. I figured at age 68 (my age) it would not matter. Even 10 years would be good..

You'd have to replace the entire fixture. The fixture is a sealed unit. If I'd have thought it through, I might have considered a regular fixture with LED CREE bulbs, so as not to have to replace the fixture. I'm hoping they'll last longer than LED CREE bulb, but chances are I'm being overly optimistic! :)

It would be very bright. It is like having 120 watts of incandescent light. You could put a dimmer on it. The approved ones are listed on the box.

Yes, it is probably too bright for a small room if you are using a standard on/off switch. If you use a dimmer for LED lights, you can set the brightness level.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Commercial Electric LED light fixture SKU 696626 This 11 inch Ceiling light brushed nickel product failed in less than 2 years. It started flickering. The SKU was 696626. I bought a lot of these lights for our 2 family house. The warranty is 5 years I don't recommend these lights. I lost out because I had to pay an electrician to take out and reinstall a new fixture. I am not happy with Home Depot or Commercial Electric products. The store manager said that this is the first time she heard this and all the reviews were mostly positive. My review and history with one of these is not good. Some have experienced the same issues but that will fall on deaf ears. August 22, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do Not Purchase We were flooded out of our house during the Memorial Day floods in Houston and our contractor put this light in the main bathroom. It started flickering about a month ago, just 6 months in use and it took me forever to figure out there was no light to replace, that once the unit goes out it is toast. What a pain to now have to replace the entire fixture. Do not believe their claim of lifetime, it is not true. August 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best dome light ever, unbelievable output. So easy to install It is so good my wife wants me to get 2 more for the hall way. For this install I will use a dimmer and auto on and of switches August 27, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by LED Light was supposed to solve replacing bulbs.... Our remodeling company purchased many of these for the value and low maintenance. They have turned into a nightmare. After a few months they begin to flicker randomly. This is a big expense to replace and the manufacturer at this point will not refund, only replace.... August 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Surprised and impressed I was skeptical when i bought this as most LED technology is weak and dim. However this light is what it should be, clean, white, bright light! Highly recommend. August 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Mine lasted 18 months before it started flickering. From the other reviews, it would appear that these don't last long. Mine worked beautifully for 18 months, then started flickering (as if wires were coming loose and arcing). Checked the wiring and the connections were fine. Home Depot did exchange it with a new one. Just hope this one lasts a lot longer. August 19, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Crapshoot! Bought two of these for a remodel. One worked for about a year before it started to flicker erratically. Got it replaced. The second one started flickering about two years in and now am I done with these. I went and got the ones without a built-in LED light and installed them along with LED bulbs which are easier to replace. Granted that is an additional cost, but this will be less of a headache if I ever need to replace the bulbs. Not sure if it's a quality control issue of defective led lights or what, but having to replace the entire fixture just because the lights aren't working seems like a waste of time and money for me. Sometimes, keeping things separated is a better way to go. I thought it would be nice to have build in LEDs without having to replace any bulbs in the future if need be. Boy, was I wrong. Anyways, if you are considering this item. It is fairly modern looking and the lumens is very adequate. I was hoping it would last practically forever, but live and learn. I'm not sure how often this is a problem or issue for others that have purchased this item, but I've read a few reviews where this flickering issue came up for the people that purchased this item. I guess it's a crapshoot. The item has a 5 year warranty, so hopefully if you have any issues, they happen within that time. Good luck! August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bright light The light was brighter than I expected from reading the description and the lumens it mentioned. Looks good and installation was simple though easier with someone to hold the fixture while you wire it. August 2, 2016
