Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by treasurehunter Works fine but VERY hard to see legends
Seems to work OK, BUT someone really needs to question WHY they would put Dark Green labels on Dark Grey background. It is virtually impossible to see the Section labels or the alignment marks for the selections since they are dark green on dark grey (like DCV, ACV, etc.) I had to take a black permanent marker and mark mine so I can use it. It works fine, just bad choice of colors. The "artist" that chose the colors should have to use it on a job once or twice before putting it into production

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ProjectMan Very Disappointing Product
I opened the package and started reading the "manual". Very poor, one of the worst I have ever seen. I tried to go on line to find a better manual and there is none. Evidently this product is strictly a Home Depot product. The settings printed on a dark grey background are very difficult to see. Obviously the maker of this product is expecting the buyer to be a professional electrician, as there is no explanation what so ever on what the settings mean. If you are not a knowledgeable electrician don't buy this product. I bought this an hour ago and it's going back right now. The package should say for experienced professionals only!!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lasko5000 Great tool!
There is the small problem of not being able to see some of the dark green writing easily but really when it comes down to actually using the meter it preforms amazingly and i have used the back light several times when i am under a car or some other dark place.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Chilly will not check capacitors
I bought this today and have just found out I can't check capacitors with it! I had to wait forever to get someone to unlock it from the case and he had to carry it to check out because I guess I'm not trustworthy enough to do so! I had to cut it out of the sealed packaging and when I went to use it to check a capacitor I discovered that what I thought was the uf setting was milliamps instead! I guess I will have to take it back and say it was broken because you destroy the sealed packaging getting it out! Bad experiance and should have bought a better meter on the internet where I can see what I have before I buy it!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BYTFTMFW I agree with the labels issue
Really good meter for the little amount of money it costs! I do agree with the labels being a really off color for the background color and it DOES make it hard to read them. But really a minimal issue in the end and the meter does it's job! Im happy with my purchase!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Robert Poor User Manual
The user manual is the poorest excuse for the operation of this instrument I have ever experienced.
Could not determine how to install the battery.
Had to go to battery replacement to determine how to install the battery.
There are no common sence instructions for the operation of this instrument.
Went on the e-net to print a operators manual. Can't find the company or a manual.
Will take this product back to Home Depot Monday morning in the dissambled "state" for a refund and the purchase of some other model.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Charlie Failed with little use.
When I first bought the meter, I would have given it 4 stars. My only initial complaint was the really poor dial label contrast that required me to have a flashlight handy to use the meter. Now it's one year later. The meter has been at my vacation home under controlled indoor conditions all it's life, and has had little use and never been abused. I needed to use the ohms function, and found the meter would not return to infinity after taking a measurement, but read and "hunted" near the reading that had been taken. It was necessary to move the dial to a different range and back again to take another reading. I opened the case and found a blob of epoxy covering the control chip with nothing serviceable. The meter has since gone to a landfill and I purchased a different make.
