Product was used to fill in for previous tool. Cut side was not marked well. Had to study each time to make sure cut side was correct. Impact was ok. Other brands are much better.

Worked very well at first then after a very short time the blade wouldn't cut wire anymore. Made punching down jacks and panels very difficult.

I bough this for a weekend project to punch down about 30 CAT5e cables. The price was good and it was in stock. I found it worked as expected. The blade was sharp and the action was consistent from the first cable to the last. I didn't have any issues as reported by some other users.

I only used the tool on occasion so I have no insight on extended use and the life of the tool.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WiseOldDYIer Bestest tool I ever buyed
This tool actually does EXACTLY what I bought it for. You need to punch down Cat 5 or Cat 6 cables to a 110 punch down block. This is THE TOOL TO HAVE. My GOD how did I ever do it with out one, Oh Wait I didn't the wires always fell out of the block. SO, by all means run right out to the nearest Home Depot and get yourself one of these because you never know, one day you will be sitting there watching TV and Suddenly for no reason at all, decide you want to punch cat 5 cables into a punch down block and you will be prepared as long as you have one of these.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by SD57 Impact punch down tool
Junk! a pig in a dress is still a pig at the end of the day. After about 200 punch downs, the tool becomes loose and hard to manage into the slots of the jacks, Waste of money!

Lasted about 5 minutes before the wire that holds the blade sheered off.
