Answer:
In terms of light output, yes. I would estimate light is equivalent to one 100 watt lamp, or 2 or 3 60 watt lamps.

I'd say it would be able to replace a 3 lamp dome fixture, but the color of light may be a bit too white from a standard incandescent bulb.

This fixture would not be as bright as a 3 light dome fixture nor will it have the same light spread range. If you are willing to sacrifice a little bit of brightness you may still be happy with the Illumination of this fixture.

Yes I think so. I just did it for mine and I am very pleased with the results. It is rather bright and you cannot change the bulbs. But I think you would be happy with this unit and it's output.
Good luck!

Depends on the wattage of your 3 bulbs. I believe this fixture is rated at 100 watts and it is LED. It lights up the bottom of the steps in our basement family room very nicely.

Depends how much light is desired @ that location. The label states an output of 1090 lumens @ a CRI of 82(approx. 2-60 watt incandescents) This device cannot be increased in output (fixed) so what you see is what you get.

You have to replace the fixture. This particular brand has a real quality control issue and the only way to fix the problem is to buy a different fixture to replace it. I strongly recommend getting a different brand.

If the fixture is not on a dimmer that is not compatible and the wall switch is not lighted than the Flickering is normally caused by a defective driver in the unit. Call customer support at 877-825-0313.

Dispose of it or contact Home Depot or the manufacturer for a return of your money. There is supposed to be a 5 year warranty for this product. The LED light is supposed to last for 32 years or 35,000 hours of continuous use (this stated on the packaging).

What is the difference between buying this LED light, for example, and a regular one for much less... Then using LED screw-in bulbs? Yes, i understand the price would be about the same in the end. I'm just curious, what is the difference between an LED out of the box, or using a standard fixture with LED bulbs? Thanks!

Really no difference, except when this fixture burns out you have to replace it. Also, I think the light seems more evenly distributed due to the way it is manufactured.

I personally like using LED bulbs in the older fixtures because of convenience. But some states (CA) don't allow for incandescent bulbs therefore the whole fixture must be LED. This will probable be the case in the future for all states.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 150 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Install was awkward, but good light We replaced a single CFL light fixture with this in our son's room. There's no dimmer installed, just a switch. This light is lower profile and the LED design is a uniform ring of light as opposed to the point of light the CFL bulb gave; overall I really like the look of it. It gives off a nice warm white color and looks in place in his room. I haven't noticed any noise from it. My only complaint that cost a star on this was the install was awkward - it took two hands to do the wiring and one to hold the light while doing the wiring... and I only have two hands. If there was some kind of connector so the wiring was a harness that was installed and then plugged into the light when it was bolted in place this would easily be a five star rating. Even with this minor annoyance, I would probably buy another one when we have to replace another fixture. August 30, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Yep, mine only lasted a few months too... I read the reviews, I knew that there is a quality problem with these -- and bought it anyway. Mine lasted about 6 months, then started flickering, and within a couple weeks died all together. I no longer have my receipt, so my loss. Now you know. August 28, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality The transformer/driver seems to go bad after about a year. I've had 4 of these go bad so far. Very frustrating. August 16, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Waste of Money I installed two of these lights and have had to replace both with just a couple of months... now I have to replace a replacement light... this time I'll buy a flush ceiling mount fixture and install LED bulbs... this is a piece of JUNK! August 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great fixture for the price This fixture was easy to install, looks great and brightness the space. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great light This light was used as a replacement for a hanging light. It looks so much better and gives off so much more light. Love the bronze look! High quality. Great purchase! August 2, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worked great for about a year.... I loved this fixture - the light was bright and it was so easy to install.. was happy thinking I'd get 22 years life.. but sadly like so many others experience on these posts - it started flickering and shuts itself off completely after a couple minutes.. Next day it will come back on.. after a minute or two the flickering starts again and it shuts itself off.. bummmer... time to replace it! July 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice bright light, easy to install These lights brought our lake home into the 21st century. Not only is the profile lower for ceilings under 8', but the light is nice and warm for LED. Super energy savings! July 26, 2016
