How much do I need?

Wish the detail of the product included how much is needed to properly treat a tree. For instance, there should be a formula on the container explaining how much product to dump on a tree based on the circumfrance of the base of the tree. Without that information, one could not possibly guess how much to buy. I need it for Emerald ash borer protection on three ash trees. All three trees are about 50 inch diameter a piece. So I need enough product to treat 150 inches of diameter.

Google the product name including the brand. A pdf will pop up from "Kelly Solutions" that contains the entire label. Instructions are on page 5 and 6 of the label, depending on whether the tree is double or single trunked. Good luck!

Hi greenhouse in NC.
Thank you for your question.
This product will absolutely help control the pecan weevils, but there is one catch. This particular product uses a chemical call Imidacloprid, which is a systemic and will be absorbed by the trees root system and in turn absorbed into the fruit of the tree. You will be able to get rid of the insects, but the fruit will be inedible for at least 6 months Read More
Hi greenhouse in NC.
Thank you for your question.
This product will absolutely help control the pecan weevils, but there is one catch. This particular product uses a chemical call Imidacloprid, which is a systemic and will be absorbed by the trees root system and in turn absorbed into the fruit of the tree. You will be able to get rid of the insects, but the fruit will be inedible for at least 6 months to a year.
This product was designed for use on ornamental trees, not trees with an edible fruit/nut on it.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Answer:
The insecticide injection kits have the same active ingredient (Imidacloprid) so the drench should help. Mix one ounce of product in a water bucket per inch of the tree's circumference, i.e. a 2' diameter trunk would measure about 75 inches in circumference, so you would need 75 ounces (just over half a gallon)of product. Repeat every year.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 32 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value May help save our white birch tree. Easy to apply. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value This product is a seasonal insect control that I use for my birch trees. Equivalent products now contain fertilizer additives, and cost two and half times as much. June 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Systemic Tree and Insect Drench I have a significant number of shrubs and trees and put it around the base pursuant to the instructions. So far everything looks good. Especially for the boxwoods which were riddled with insects the last few years. I am waiting to see how the roses and shrubs will be later in the summer, but so far so good. I would recommend it. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Deal I have been using the the Compare 'N Save Systemic Tree & Shrub Insect Drench brand of Imidacloprid from Home Depot to protect my 10 ash trees from the emerald ash borer yearly since May 2013. Last summer I noticed that the untreated ash trees not on but adjacent to my lot are showing signs of deterioration, e.g. thin foliage, and some have even died and have been cut down. However, in the summer of 2015 my treated ash trees looked quite good. There seem to be no guarantees when trying to stop the emerald ash borer, but so far I am very pleased with the results from my treatments. April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good! We were so upset when our huge Sago Palm became diseased. It looked like a white fine powder attached to the leaves. We checked on the internet and found that it was quite a common problem in Sago Palms. They recommended a Systemic Insecticide which we could only find on line. We cut back the dead leaves on the palm, cleaned up all around it and used the product. So far our plant looks great, very green and healthy and continues to bloom.. April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Stuff Good Stuff. Absolutely kills all the sucking insects on our Pindo Palms, Camellias, Azaleas, and Hawthorns. A nice feature of this particular drench is that it is has no fertilizer in it. The Bayer Tree and Shrub product on the shelf at Home Depot does, and it stimulates too much new growth. Bayer is also more expensive. April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Crape myrtle disease chemical followed the directions and so far, so good. The price was unbeatable for the ame chemical. April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cost Saver Great price for a product that protects trees from borers. Same active ingredient as costly insecticides. March 29, 2016
