Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ShadyAcres Keeps my Green Ash tress alive!
I use this to protect my large Green Ash trees from the EAB plague. I have used this for a couple of years now with GREAT success. The untreated trees in my area have been devastated, but mine look as healthy as they did before this threat became reality.
To use effectively, I bore MANY holes in the ground at the base of the trees, from as close to the trunk as I can get, up to 12" away. The holes are approx. 6-8" deep each. I then mix the insecticide as recommended on the label, and pour around the base of the tree, filling the holes, and saturating the ground. I have found this method to be most effective---like I said, my trees are thriving while those around have died.
I realize that going forward, the treatment of my trees using this insecticide will be an annual ritual, but it is worth it to protect my beautiful ash trees!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Coloradoan Same ingredient, but much cheaper than Bayer's Advanced Tree and Shrub
This product, Compare-N-Save:1 Gal of 1.47% Imidacloprid, costs ~$37
Bayer Advanced: 1 Gal of 2.94%(=2x concentrate) Imidacloprid costs ~$135
Therefore, Compare-N-save is 45% cheaper

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bryan Works great, definitely would recommend, but didn't include the dosage instructions
I used this product last week on my 3 white ash trees that are about 12 years old. I paid to have an arborist come out and he said my trees were showing signs of having the Emerald Ash Bore. It would have cost me $235 to have him treat the trees. This product was substantially less plus I had enough left over to treat my shrubs in front of the house. One has been struggling and the other 3 were beginning to show signs of the same problem--balding spots and dying/splitting branches. Something appeared to be killing them from the inside-out.
The product was easy to apply, mixing it with a gallon of water, (the concentration depends on the circumference of trees and the height of shrubs), digging a trench 6" out from the base of the trees and shrubs to expose the roots. Within 15 minutes of applying this product, I had already noticed the shrubs had begun to "perk up" a little. Within 2 days, a substantial difference was noticed, and new growth beginning to occur on the shrubs.
It's too early to notice anything improvement with the trees yet--The arborist recommended it be applied before April 1st to be effective, and there are no leaves on the trees yet. Instructions say it could take up to 3 months to see results on larger trees. I'm very pleased with the results I've seen on my shrubs so far and am looking forward to seeing results on my trees. My trees were at the very beginning stages at showing signs of damage (one or two branches at the top lost leaves early last fall). One side note--the arborist said I could double the recommended concentration of product, so that's what I did to achieve my results.
The only reason I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 was because I had to locate the dosage instructions myself online. I was sent all this literature about product safety--what to do if I got it on my skin or in my eyes, notices from the EPA about not to use the product near streams, blah, blah, blah. That did me absolutely no good without the dosage instructions because I'd never a apply a product not knowing the correct concentration and amount of it to apply. The dosage instructions are not listed on the bottle.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Geoff Shortage Complaint Solved !!
Ragan & Massey, the supplier of Compare-N-Save Systemic Tree Drench called me about the shortage in the gallon jug. They apologized for the short-fill and shipped me another gallon, at no charge, even though I told them it was unnecessary as it was only a quart short and still good value. The product works very well, excellent value and the supplier stepped up with great customer support.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Soltero It worked & it's affordable w the same main chemical like 'other' drenches.
Within 2 weeks all diseased branches dried/fell from the 2 trees. We diluted the drench w 50% water & we dug 2-4 holes around their roots, poured the drench & now the trees look as healthy as ever.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CaliforniaDreamer Great product, no spraying aphids.
Used on 30 year old maple trees that were covered in aphids and made a huge mess with sticky honey dew everywhere. This is the second year we used this product with the aphid problem cured! Highly recommend, no spraying, no effect on insects other than the aphids, no effect on our pets. Great product.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MIRL Ordering online offered a more affordable choice.
We bought this product to combat the emerald ash borer that has engulfed the county of Boone and others. :( We won't know how its doing until next spring when the trees leaf out. I pray that it does its job as we have many trees with these asian bugs and have chosen to treat our largest and oldest four.
