How much do I need?

Wish the detail of the product included how much is needed to properly treat a tree. For instance, there should be a formula on the container explaining how much product to dump on a tree based on the circumfrance of the base of the tree. Without that information, one could not possibly guess how much to buy. I need it for Emerald ash borer protection on three ash trees. All three trees are about 50 inch diameter a piece. So I need enough product to treat 150 inches of diameter.

Answer:
I also wish I had the directions before I ordered, but was able to do 3 of my 4 trees with one gallon. Measure trunk circumference at chest height, and add that many ounces to one gallon of water, and pour around trunk. If two or more trunks per tree, add circumferences together and multiply by 0.75.

Answer:
product guideline is to measure tree circumference about four feet above the ground and add one ounce of product for each inch of tree circumference to one gallon of water. Follow this up with another gallon just water. 50-inch diameter tree would be about 157 inches in circumference so you would need 157 ounces of the product. I gallon is 128 ounces.

Google the product name including the brand. A pdf will pop up from "Kelly Solutions" that contains the entire label. Instructions are on page 5 and 6 of the label, depending on whether the tree is double or single trunked. Good luck!

My understanding is that this product is for fungal infections. We purchased it to kill a fungal infection in our Sago Palm. When sprayed it is good for approx 12 months. It cured our problem. Hope this helps.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I got what I was hoping for, directions were straightforward, and had enough in one gallon to treat 3 of 4 of my trees. Hopefully it was not too late in the year. I will see next year if it helps. Guess the one tree will be the control, but will do that one next spring. Fingers crossed that this helps, trees are looking sad. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best price on a great systemic insecticide If you have a problem with insects that chew or suck the life out of your trees or shrubs, this is the best systemic insecticide (1.47% Imidacloprid). It lasts about a year and Home Depot has the best price that I can find. Once a year you mix the correct amount with water and pour it on the roots of your trees, and your done. No more bugs. Yes I've looked on line and Amazon has it sometimes for the same price. Good luck getting this in the mail. I prefer to pick this up at Home Depot because I don't want a leaking half empty mess sitting at my front door. September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Protects trees from emerald ash borer I put this in the ground around my green ash trees a year ago and some still look healthy. October 4, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value Product was easy to mix and apply. seems to be working, but early in the cycle. August 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value May help save our white birch tree. Easy to apply. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value This product is a seasonal insect control that I use for my birch trees. Equivalent products now contain fertilizer additives, and cost two and half times as much. June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Deal I have been using the the Compare 'N Save Systemic Tree & Shrub Insect Drench brand of Imidacloprid from Home Depot to protect my 10 ash trees from the emerald ash borer yearly since May 2013. Last summer I noticed that the untreated ash trees not on but adjacent to my lot are showing signs of deterioration, e.g. thin foliage, and some have even died and have been cut down. However, in the summer of 2015 my treated ash trees looked quite good. There seem to be no guarantees when trying to stop the emerald ash borer, but so far I am very pleased with the results from my treatments. April 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Systemic Tree and Insect Drench I have a significant number of shrubs and trees and put it around the base pursuant to the instructions. So far everything looks good. Especially for the boxwoods which were riddled with insects the last few years. I am waiting to see how the roses and shrubs will be later in the summer, but so far so good. I would recommend it.
