Answer:
I bought 2-4-D and another chemical from ACE a while back to kill dollar weed. I mixed as per instructions and sprayed it on dollar weed. It killed dollar weed and the grass. The guy at the store told me to just spray it lightly on dollar weed; maybe I sprayed too much but it killed everything around where I sprayed it.

Answer:
No!! But as always, if you use it to kill dandelions in your lawn, use a little and see what it may or may not do to your lawn on a specific area.
It is a broadleaf week killer. But always side on the caution side. Sometimes, mistakes happen.

Answer:
Nutsedge can only be controlled with a specialized set set of herbicides. I've used Basagran based herbicides with good luck on sedges. Orchard grass is, in fact, a grass so the only control would be a glyphosphate based herbicide such as Roundup. Glyphospate is a non-selective chemical that kills everything so use in a lawn is not possible...unless you like big brown spots!

Answer:
This is a "broadleaf" only killer. Ragweed, Morning Glory, White Top, Thisel, hay, clover etc. You may need to consult someone in a chemical outlet for specific grass problems and proper chemical. I have a clump grass in my lawn and cannot find anything that will kill it without killing my lawn. Remember broadleaf is what this will kill

Answer:
Hi eddie,
The application rate will vary, depending on which weeds are targeted and what kind of grass it is being applied to. Fescue grass is quite resilient to 2,4-D, but bermudagrass is more sensitive.
To replicate the formula that is equivalent to Compare-N-Save's ready to use formula, mix the concentrate 1-1/3oz. per gallon of water, or 4oz. per 3 gallons of water.
Apply one gallon of mixture to Read More

I have a large oak tree in my front and when it drops acorns many of them take root and start to grow. Would 2,4 D take care of these new growths?

Answer:
Yes, however, be very careful spraying around the mother tree. Also, I assume that these are from the acorn and not a shoot or sucker from the main tree. If it is a sucker plant, coming off of the old tree, you may kill the old tree because the poison is taken in by the sucker tree and passed on to he old tree. Hope that makes sense.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works good I liked the ease of ordering this product and timely delivery. These factors allow me to target when I need the product without having to visit several stores to pick up what is needed. Most stores do not carry the amount I need to purchase at one time. June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as expected from 2-4-D - 4 oz / gal - spray when it less than 80 degrees out - use baby shampoo (1oz/gal) to get it to stick - don't spray when it's windy - wear long sleeves/boots/pants/rubber gloves - boom, dead broadleaf weeds in grass or rock beds June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best weed killer ever I have used every major brand weed killer over the last 2 years. My weeds loved them, they kept asking for more as they grew bigger and bigger. 2,4-D was the complete opposite. It spelled DEATH for the weeds while never harming a single blade of grass. May 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Killed EVERYTHING The description states it will not kill Bermuda grass and it did. May 16, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by fair killed about 50% of the weeds in our lawn. I was hoping for a better result. April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Product This is the best product you can buy. If it doesn't kill the weeds after first application, just be patient and spray again after 2 weeks. In my case, I mixed 3 tablespoon full to a gallon of water. April 5, 2016
