Answer:
I bought 2-4-D and another chemical from ACE a while back to kill dollar weed. I mixed as per instructions and sprayed it on dollar weed. It killed dollar weed and the grass. The guy at the store told me to just spray it lightly on dollar weed; maybe I sprayed too much but it killed everything around where I sprayed it.

Answer:
No!! But as always, if you use it to kill dandelions in your lawn, use a little and see what it may or may not do to your lawn on a specific area.
It is a broadleaf week killer. But always side on the caution side. Sometimes, mistakes happen.

Does 2,4 D kill orchard grass and Yellow Nutsedge without killing the other grass (Kentucky 31 Fescue in my case) in your lawn?

Answer:
Nutsedge can only be controlled with a specialized set set of herbicides. I've used Basagran based herbicides with good luck on sedges. Orchard grass is, in fact, a grass so the only control would be a glyphosphate based herbicide such as Roundup. Glyphospate is a non-selective chemical that kills everything so use in a lawn is not possible...unless you like big brown spots!

Answer:
This is a "broadleaf" only killer. Ragweed, Morning Glory, White Top, Thisel, hay, clover etc. You may need to consult someone in a chemical outlet for specific grass problems and proper chemical. I have a clump grass in my lawn and cannot find anything that will kill it without killing my lawn. Remember broadleaf is what this will kill

Answer:
Sorry I cannot tell you for sure if it affects animals. I have never had any problems with dogs or cats. Short of them eating freshly sprayed weeds, I personally do not think this is an issue. Always read the instructions and follow the guideline. It is used in farm fields and I have never heard of any issues in those application

For some reason this year we developed a bad case of some broadleaf weed in our yard after killing off chickweed. Can you apply this during August in lieu of in October (for Kentucky)?

I applied it in a heat wave (90+ F) at the end of July and it worked. Used 3 tablespoons per gallon with dish soap.

Answer:
I live in Utah and if the broadleaf is growing it's time to spray!!Active plant growth is the time to spray. In fact, if you catch them in a younger state, you will kill them outright rather than trying to kill mature plants. Mature plants are tougher to kill and require much more poison

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 34 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stuff! Applied this at 3 Tablespoons per gallon with a dash of dish soap. Used 2 gallon round-up spray tank. Very easy. Got rid of the ground ivy, broad leaf plantain and numerous other dicots. However, didn't effect the violets and oxalis. Took several weeks to kill the plantain, so you have to be patient. A great and cost effective product. August 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't do what I thought it was suppose to do I bought this 2, 4D broadleaf week killer because I read on the NC Buncombe County Master Gardeners blog it was the way to get rid of the dollar weed, dandelions and other broad leaf weeds over taking my Asheville lawns. I read the pages and pages of warnings and information about this extremely poisonous weed control, took great care to follow those instructions and figure out the amount to use for lawn use instead of groves, crops and etc. I sprayed over 3 lawn areas almost 2 weeks ago and there has been no results at all. It didn't effect these weeds a bit!! I am extremely disappointed in the hype this 2 August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Kills weeds While it takes a little longer (than roundup) to work, it kills the broadleaf weeds without killing everything (ie grass) that it touches. A huge plus. You need to add a drop of liquid detergent to the sprayer mix to enhance its "stickiness" factor (it has little on its own) but that is quite easy to do. I will be buying much more of this products as its less than half the price of that other brand. August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works good I liked the ease of ordering this product and timely delivery. These factors allow me to target when I need the product without having to visit several stores to pick up what is needed. Most stores do not carry the amount I need to purchase at one time. June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as expected from 2-4-D - 4 oz / gal - spray when it less than 80 degrees out - use baby shampoo (1oz/gal) to get it to stick - don't spray when it's windy - wear long sleeves/boots/pants/rubber gloves - boom, dead broadleaf weeds in grass or rock beds June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best weed killer ever I have used every major brand weed killer over the last 2 years. My weeds loved them, they kept asking for more as they grew bigger and bigger. 2,4-D was the complete opposite. It spelled DEATH for the weeds while never harming a single blade of grass. May 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Killed EVERYTHING The description states it will not kill Bermuda grass and it did. May 16, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by fair killed about 50% of the weeds in our lawn. I was hoping for a better result. April 26, 2016
