Answer:
I'm 210+ pounds and they are sturdy under me, I'm sure they would be fine for even heavier. My wife is heavier and they handle us just fine. Very well designed set. Be sure not to skimp on the assembly, use all the screws!

How to anchor them to keep from tipping?

I want to use them for garage entry steps as others have. But I'm wondering how those people have kept them anchored or weighed down to ensure that they won't tip? The question applies to using them as spa steps, too. Seems like they could easily flip?

Answer:
The sandbag answer was enough to tell me that I needed to order different steps -- the Leisure Accents Spa Step with Storage Compartment, which I can fill with sand or even Quickset cement.

I would use sandbags or something as heavy to weigh them down. I hope this helps!

Answer:
I would not suggest that.. Don't think they would be sturdy enough for and usage unless you built a very strong frame.

36 in. x 14 in. Hot Tub Steps in Gray is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hot tub steps These steps didn't appear as secure as I had hoped. The pieces just popped into each other. Since I was going to use them from my garage into the house, they would get quite a bit of use. I returned my product. They would work good for the purpose which they were designed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not gray! Very disappointed in these. States they are gray but only the steps are gray and a light gray at that, the base is a cream color. They do not look anything like the color in the picture! However they seem to be very sturdy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERY Nice Steps These steps are just what I was hoping they would be. I needed a set of 36" steps for entry into my side garage door. I didn't want wood, as wood rots. I didn't want cement, as it would be too heavy for me to handle. Besides, not all steps come in 36" width. These steps arrived in a timely manner and I put them together myself. I am a 58 year old woman who tries to be a do-it-yourselfer. They went together easily. if I can do it anyone can. They are attractive and seem to be sturdy. I was not disappointed with these steps in any manner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product and value! When the concrete steps for entry to our kitchen from the garage became cracked and wobbly we began the search for replacement steps. We ordered these "hot tub steps" after reading many outstanding reviews posted by other people who used them in a similar way as to what we needed. These are great. Assembly was easy and the steps are very durable. Great value. We are ordering another set for a different area of the house.
