Answer:
They have mounting brackets but no hardware to link them together. We used 3 inch PVC pipe and connectors (Rubber). Outlet that you must drill thru is less then 3 inches so we had leakage. Company did not answer our calls and did not return our messages. Finally we lucked out and got someone to answer and were told to use butyl tape which sealed the connectors.

Answer:
I don't know if it will work horizontally, but two factors to consider: 1) The water won't be as high so you will have less pressure and slower flow out of the tank 2) Water is heavy, 62 gallons is over 500 pounds so the "wall" would need to be braced so it doesn't fall over on someone.

Customer Reviews

Rated 1.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Tears apart when filled...... I bought two of these in August, 2014. My very capable handyman installed them, connecting them to the downspouts, building solid bases for both, etc. Then it rained and they filled....and soon after they both split open in exactly the same place in the right lower panel area, and leaked all the water down into the foundation of my house (they were mounted on outside walls in the garden areas). After many phone calls, the company owners admitted that there was a manufacturing defect that caused the failures, and I was promised new units. Many months later the new units arrived, but were the wrong color. I again called the company (Contain Water Systems) but the calls were not returned. I sent certified letters to every address I could find for them, but the letters came back "undeliverable". I called Contain in Canada and was told that the US sales reps I had been dealing with had bought the company and were no longer "Contain" and the company website should have been taken down as Contain did not have responsibility for the waterwalls. The US reps never returned my calls - so now I have two more walls, but no idea if they will have the same defect if I pay to have them installed. All my efforts to mend the walls have failed - the pressure is too great for any adhesive, (even Flex Seal fails on these). Even a small bit of rain aggravates the mended tears. I suggest you stay with a round barrel, as this thin design is not strong enough to take the water weight and pressure, in my experience. Too bad - the idea was great, but the execution is a failure. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by worst customer service ever Ordered 2 containers and then decided to add a 3rd. The 3rd container arrived not in any box or package and without the mounting brackets. Returned this container 3X's and each time it arrived the same way in spite of asking for packaging as I felt it could be damaged in transit. Brackets were sent separately . I finally accepted the unpackaged container out of frustration. BIG MISTAKE.! We set up the 3 containers and had difficulty with leakage between each container. Called the company several times, no one answered and no one returned our calls. Finally got a person who told us to use Butyl Tape. This worked and we were set for our 1st winter rain storm. The tanks filled with H2O. Sometime early this year ONE of the tanks developed a leak in the side. We contacted the manufacturer as they promised a 1 year warrantee. WE were promised a replacement after several calls and e mails however no replacement has been sent. Home Depot now has a copy of our correspondence with this company but apparently has had no luck either. August 25, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by First time user Had some issues with the delivery to the Home Depot store as the brackets to attach the barrel to the house were missing. Once the brackets arrived the set up was reasonably easy. One thing to watch for is when you drilling into the container with a spade bit. The plastic will tear very easily so consider drilling partially through the plastic and using a knife to cut the whole way through. Barrels do distend quite a bit when the barrels are full but it is manageable. Make sure you have a solid footing under the barrels as they are very heavy when full. Major complaint I have is with the color of the units. It would be a MAJOR improvement if the barrels could take paint easily as the three colors available don't suit many house colors and having to build an enclosure to hide the barrels if you have an HOA is a hassle. I have the rain barrels feeding a vegetable garden about 8 feet from the barrels so pressure and distance is working just fine. Set up the barrels with the EarthMinded Rain Barrel Kit to divert the water and connect two barrels together and they work really well. July 22, 2014
