Answer:
The answer is NO. I bought the hose about six weeks ago and I do like it, so much so that I am about to buy another. However, if you coil it for storage and then extend it from the coil, you must constantly twist the hose to prevent it from kinking. Remember, this is a true rubber hose and it acts differently from the traditional plastic or vinyl hoses.

I haven't owned it long enough to be sure, but by the way in unrolls, I am guessing that over time it will kink.

Answer:
Mine has not kinked yet... using it at 20 to -10 degrees. Possibly in high heat it could. , but if you have no twists in your hose, you will never have kinks. High quality, 100% premium rubber hoses are worth the money. Roll the hose nicely and unroll in reverse and you'll never get a kink... even in a cheap hose. This is a high quality hose.

Answer:
It didn't kink at 5 degrees. Earlier in the day I cracked and ruined 3 different hoses trying to get them unkinked in the cold. It says Goodyear on the packaging(Continental brand in the online advert). I won't say it's kink proof, but it certainly did not give me the slightest bit of trouble regarding this kinking issue. I'm going to buy another one.

This hose kinks easier than any hose I have had. They are very pliable. Pressurize the hose a little bit before you roll it out and use it.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 215 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good commercial hose This is an excellent commercial hose. I have one that I have used in my handyman services business for a year. I use it for my pressure washer and various other task. It has worked for me flawlessly. My home outdoor faucet is attached before the pressure reducing valve so the pressure comes right off the water meter. After bursting several hoses I bought this hose like the one I use for my business. It works great and has handled the high pressure with no problem. September 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by love the hose, no kinking i use it on my power winder it never kinks or bends the hose never gives me a problem love rubber hoses October 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by We haven't had this hose that long but bought it because a similar one has served us well. It is a bit heavy, but I guess that's what makes it sturdier than some of the others we've tried. We bought the previous one two years ago, and it's still doing the job. October 25, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by disappointed in overall quality of product This hose kinks constantly and the fittings to nozzle and hydrant do not securely fit which causes seepage The warranty is of little use since the entire hose would have to be shipped back. The shipping cost would be prohibitive. October 4, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Continental ContiTechPremium 5/8 in. Dia x 50 ft. Commercial Grade Rubber Black Water Hose I have not owed this hose long so I did not give it five stars. Before buying I check out the reviews It seem the biggest problem people has with the house is it kinking and boy Howdy did it ever. but just like one person said it has to do with the way it was rolled. the fist thing i did was to unroll it making sure I got all the kinks out then I place it were It will be store by making large loops. When I go to use it I make sure I undo it the some way. As of yet no trouble with it. Time will tell how long it last, As fare as hose goes, I like it. September 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best hose available. I have used many garden hoses, as i am sure everyone else has also. This is the only hose i have not had to replace. it is always flexible in any weather, even below freezing. it is difficult to kink, but when it does, it recovers well, it doesnt stay more likely to kink again in that spot. it also will not rot in the sun. i leave it outside all the time and there are no signs of rotting. the only thing i would say is that in the summer, water running through it in the sun gets hot enough to scold. so just be prepared for that. September 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Purchase Exactly what you expect and need from a rubber hose. It'll last forever. October 18, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible This is the worst hose I ever owned, if Kink Resistant means all it does is Kink and cause you trouble than OK but all I do is walk back and forth undoing kinks in this thing. Frustrating to use not only with Kinks but whatever material it is made of will leave your hands black after spending 5 minutes laying it out in a straight line so it will work. . I have had it for several years and the only reason it isn't getting a lower grade is it refuses to die! Other hoses have come and gone, bursts and leaking etc... This one has lasted, mostly because I put it way in the backyard and use it occasionally due to how bad it is. August 27, 2016
