I love this skillet! I am so glad I bought it and brought it with me to my Asian tour. It is light so it doesn't take too much weight off from your baggage limit. It only uses 600watts so it's safe to use in your hotel room (while cooking in the bathroom so nobody can smell it). It's the perfect size for 1-2 persons. It's so easy to clean, heats up right away. I have fried and stewed different types of food in it. My friends are asking where I got it and said that it's from Home Depot!

When traveling it's hard to eat well unless you want to spend money on restaurants or eat cold food in your hotel room. This skillet is so easy to travel with. It's lightweight, doesn't take up too much space in your suitcase, is TSA friendly, and so easy to use and clean up! It heats your food up really fast just by setting it on medium and it heats up just about anything. I bring ready made foods with me to save myself time and hassle and the need for a fridge. Think canned beef stew, chicken soup with rice, etc. It feels so nice to be able to enjoy a hot tasty meal in my hotel room without ordering room service or going out to buy food and bringing it all back only to find that the food has cooled on your way back to the hotel. I am so happy with this skillet and only wish I had bought this sooner. The glass lid is nice but very heavy. The skillet works just fine without it.

I have worked in the touring music industry for many years. To cut back on huge room service or restaurant expenses, I decided to get this little skillet, and cook in my room. I've had very mixed results. On the pro side, this thing is small, easy to pack, easy to clean, and does get hot enough to cook just about anything you might care to try. There are some major cons, however....the temp control is a joke - it's either hot or not, and the body of the thing is so thin that the only really hot places are directly above the heating element. Also, after about a week of use, the non-stick coating started coming off - in tiny bits at first, over the heating element, then in huge flakes. A steel wool scrubbing pad fixed that problem, so now I have an aluminum electric skillet - still seems to work OK, but haven't tried eggs in it since removing the non-stick (which never worked very well anyway). In summary, this one serves my purposes for the moment, but I'm sure there are similar products of much better quality available.

I purchased this on sale after reading the reviews of others. Not disappointed. Perfect for cooking up something when you don't want to make a big mess for just one person. No one in our household eats breakfast at the same time and we don't like microwaved eggs. This solved the problem. Recommend!

My Dad, age 96 wanted a small electric fry pan, could not find one locally so ordered this online. Gave it to him early so he could start using it. He keeps telling me how much he likes it for frying eggs. I was disappointed only in the fact that it didn't have temperature settings on it. It has notches but does not give the degrees needed for various items it mentions in the user manual.

I'm a flight attendant and I bring most of what I eat for a three-day trip. Three days of cold food can get old! I can now make fresh cooked anything in my hotel room and enjoy hot meals anytime for less than the cost of just one airport or hotel restaurant meal.
The temperature gauge doesn't really do much. It's either high or nothing. The low and medium don't seem to do anything.

This skillet is really junky. The heat goes off instead of holding the temp for cooking. The heating element is exposed on the bottom too.

What a great mini skillet! It's the perfect size for a couple of eggs or a grilled cheese sandwich. I took it with me on a short trip. It was convenient to use in a motel room, and gave additional options to the microwave. It's easy to keep clean and I like that the heating element is separate from the skillet. Makes it easier to wash. My full-size electric skillet has the heating element in the skillet, and that makes clean-up difficult. I highly recommend this for singles, for travel, for college dorm rooms, or any place where a full-sized skillet is too much.
