I bought two 5/8 in. dia x 100 ft. Industrial-Grade Gatorhyde Garden Hoses Model # 203586716 and when I first went to use one I thought it was going to be a good purchase. The hose itself is light weight but durable and it does seem to resist kinking pretty well. However, when I turned on the water and went to use the sprayer I could hear air escaping from the male hose connector. Sure enough the connector leaked and yes I did verify it is definitely the connector and not my sprayer. So I grabbed the second hose I purchased and it had the exact same problem. I will say that since I was impressed by the hose itself (durable, lightweight, kink resistant) I did consider purchasing replacement connectors and keeping the hoses but I could not bring myself to cut into a brand new hose. I am returning them both and will go with another brand.

I'm 63 years old....Throughout my life I've purchased many hoses trying to find one that has good quality features. I've never seen anything as well made, durable, lightweight and kink- resistant as this hose. The 100 foot hose is easy to pull around the yard and rewind onto my Suncast wall-mounted reel. Don't get me wrong...It WILL kink, as ANY hose will, but it springs right back into place with NO damages in the area where it kinked. Folks, take my advise...don't spend your money on a cheap garden hose...invest a little more of your hard-earned $$$ to get one that will perform well and last a long time. See my pic and short video.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LookUpPermaculture I'm a small farmer, hands-down best hose I've ever bought.
The GatorHyde hose is the total package, just like the advertisement says. I drag this thing all over my farm to water gardens, fill water troughs, and water baby trees and I've NEVER gotten a kink that I couldn't pull out with a gentle tug. This thing is amazing!

This is a sturdy hose, but it kinked right away and the kinks have stayed in it.

very happy with the light weight nature of the hose. The texture of the hose itself is actually good for gripping. Great flexibility and pretty sturdy adapters. So far no leaks at the spigot or at the junction to my hose reel/caddy. However, I had a few incidents of flattening and kinking as I tried to retract the hose into a hose reel. Cannot completely fault the manufacturer, as common sense dictates that generally the more flexible and lighter the hose, the more likely the hose can collapse and or kink. Nonetheless, it's a fine hose that I will continue to test season after season.

I am not the kind of person who normally reviews products, but I had to put my "two cents" in on this one!
I have bought a lot of expensive hoses over the years. They claimed to be kink-proof, but were not, and after time ended up leaking/breaking.
I have a dog kennel and this hose is dragged over gravel several times a day. It still looks brand new and has never kinked, even being 100' long!
I will never buy another brand of hose again. Thank you to the makers of Gatorhyde hoses!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Flyboy45 Best hose I've had so far --- it kinks less and they straighten faster
This is by far the lightest 100' hose I have ever used and I have tried them all. A pleasure to use in that regard. And it has none of that awful plastic smell.
I do not believe there is such a thing as a kink-free hose, that having been said, this hose kinks less and i can get rid of them from a short distance by sort of whipping the hose. Nice metal fittings. We'll see how long it lasts.

This hose was purchased after a 100 foot hose gave me headaches for the last time. Purchase was based on reviews saying it takes alot to kink it and they were right. Once the female connection loosened up, the hose was easy to use and does not kink with even some rough use. No more headaches when watering the further gardens.
