i AM LOOKING AT USING THE 48" X 96" AS A DOOR INTO THE VANITY PORTION OF A BATHROOM. 1. WOULD THIS WORK?
2. HOW HIGH DOES THE BOTTOM TRACK STICK UP FROM THE FLOOR.
3. IF IT WERE UP AGAINST THE EDGE OF WHERE THE CARPET ENDS, WOULD IT BE FLUSH?
4. WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO INSTALL SOME SORT OF PRIVACY LATCH?

My goal is to install either french-type doors or similar to this style door to close off my loft bedroom. The dimension of the doorway is 60" x 96". The room is carpeted and the product has a bottom track. Do I need to cut the carpet back? Is there a top track available? Any other options?

Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot, MarMar. This sliding door uses a top channel and a bottom track. The manufacturer does not recommend installing on carpet, they recommend cutting the carpet to install. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. I purchased five of these doors to change out all bedroom closets and hallway closet. The aluminum material is nice, almost black in color, the 3 liters make it look modern and not too busy like the 5 lite. I opted for Snow White glass vs Mystique as I did not want to have clothes show through even a little. These doors are great, install is almost simple until you try to adjust the height of the doors, the turn screw is inside the door and fairly recessed. It is very difficult as you have to put a screw driver in sometimes at an angle to turn it to either raise or lower the door to close any gap against a wall. The wheels that they had on the glass sliders on the back were way easier to adjust vs these that are inside.
All in all happy with look and finish, other than one time adjustment on wheels which was a pain, hence took off 1 star. Recommended otherwise

It went in really easy, the adjustable rollers could be a little better for the weight of the doors but its working fine so I hope it holds up over time.
