I share the same experience. Its cheap, looks great, but the inside rusts quick. The bottom is already rotted out and we only used it for two years. The base is still in great condition. I have to admit, we never protected it, sun and water had rusted it. I'd like to save the frame, if there was a way to replace the bottom.

The fire pit was easy to assemble, and looks awesome. It was wonderful to have and we used it frequently during the Fall/Winter and Spring, however the fire bowl rusted out and has to be replaced just one year after purchase. The replacement of the fire bowl is costing almost as much as I paid for the fire pit just one year ago. I think I will spray the bowl with some sort of rustoleum for high heat to try to protect it, and will definately buy a cover, but if this one rusts out in a year I'll be looking for a different brand.

I have had this for 2 1/2 years bought it as a fathers day gift for my husband. We use it on cooler summer nights. To do smores. It is very low to the ground so I put it up on cendar blocks. (My twin toddlers don't run into it.) It brings it to a good height while sitting for adults. It is moveable, because with my kids I didn't want to make a perminant one yet. I have had no problem with rusting. I keep it covered with its cover. I bring it in when we have had 2 hurricaines. I accidently melted the lid a little Just warped when I put it on too soon before it had cooled down. My bad not the manufacturer. I like it the pretty stone work on the side matches our house and it will match our soon new bbq island I am building for his fathers day present this year. What a surprise for him!

We received this fire pit as a gift last year. It looked good. We used it last year and was using it for the 3rd time this season when we noticed that the bottom is falling apart!!! I came on here to see what the warranty is, but it's only 6 months. I feel that for $100.00 it should last a bit longer than that. We'll have to go back to our old fire pit - a black one that rolls and has a cage around it. We have had that one for about 9 years and it still looks good and isn't falling apart!!!

I bought this fire pit about two weeks ago. My 13-year-old daughter insisted on putting it together by herself, which she did in about 30 minutes. I have already used it about 6 times. We sit on the patio and burn small logs and branches that we collect when we're cleaning up around the yard. It's a perfect size for roasting marshmallow, and the screen allows me to cover up the embers overnight without worrying about ashes popping out. Cleanup is easy. I just let the ashes cool overnight, remove the tray, and dump them out. The product looks a lot more expensive than it is. We have really enjoyed it.
My only complaint is that the poker is too short, but since I wasn't expecting to get one with the product, that didn't really bother me. I just hope this product holds up over time because I love it and want it to last.

We purchased this product at a clearance price and within a year, the bottom rusted out. It took over 5 months to get a new fire pan for the pit from the manufacturer. I am in need of a new spark guard and ashtray for the pit and the manufacturer indicating that they don't have the parts, despite selling 30 in square fire pit similar to the one I have. The manufacturer definitely has poor customer service.

Puchased as a Christmas present for my husband. Fire Pit looks great, really like the copper accents. Was very easy to assemble. We used it the night we received it, even made smores over the fire with the kids. The spacing of the grate inside the pit that keeps the logs up off the bottom is a little to wide, did have problems keeping smaller sized logs from falling through. Will be using it again, often.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Jenny very madd at the waste of money!!
The bottom rusted out in less than two years. The pan is paper thin and obviously not coated with rust proof paint. Trying to find a replacement bowl is impossible and now the money I spent is gone and have to buy new!!!! Very Very Very Displeased!!!!! Will Never again get this product!!!! This was a gift for my lover and now it seems like an unthoughtful gift!
