Pros: The fire pit looks great on our patio, but make sure you have lots of space. This container is huge and can handle a small bond fire.
Cons: No rack to keep logs off the bottom and no air vents in bottom. The included tool is flimsy and is hardly strong enough to lift the cover. If the tool is also to be a poker to rearrange burning logs, it is totally inadaquate. You will need a steardy fireplace poker and possibly tonges to manipulate the huge fire you can build. Should also have long gloves for heat protection. This should not be used on a deck, unless you build tiny fires you wont enjoy, due to the size of the coldren.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Lisa This product looks good, but could be more durable
Over all I am pleased with my purchase of the 30.25 diameter x 25 in. Round Scroll Firebowl. However, one of the scrolls fell apart at the seam during instillation and will have to be welded back together, and the hook end of the poker also broke off. It's a very pretty piece and over all functions well, just be sure to read all directions regarding how much and what can be burned.

Could not believe the size of the fire pit when I took it out of the box. I have never seen such a big bowl for the wood. Excellent for the price!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I bought this firebowl to replace a chiminea that fell apart after 2 years of heavy use. We bought an 80 year old farmhouse and inherited a huge pile of wood and limbs left by previous owners. Trying to be green we wanted to burn the wood to add to our compost, while being able to enjoy a fire, too. We wish we had found this sooner! It makes a Big lovely fire that burns good and slow, but shows well. It requires assembly on the structure, but I put it together fairly easily, despite the obscure instructions. Make sure you tighten the bolts well. I was only mildly disappointed in that there was flaking and rust showing on the part of the scrolls that would sit on the ground, but I sanded those parts and sprayed some black rust retarding paint, an easy fix and minor considering that this was a great purchase for the money. The lid doesn't fit as tight as we would like, but my husband says he can hammer it out a little. It comes with a lid lifting tool and some of the other reviewers said it was flimsy. We think its because they are not using it properly. You lift the lid off using the tool vertically like a hook, not horizontally, and never while the fire is roaring, add your logs when it dies down sufficiently. It is also used to move the logs and stoke the flames. DO NOT LIFT THE LOGS WITH THIS TOOL, USE LOG TONGS. You also need an area with plenty of space around it as it is a good size. We couldn't be happier! Looking forward to the next burn night!
