I have used this product a few times over 4 years, and it performs better than anything else on the market. I t takes a bit of time, but it is worth it. It is imperative that the directions are followed, and that the crack is clean and dry. I can't recommend any thing else for filling cracks. I have a wide and long drive, I have filled over 100 feet of cracks with this product, without any failures. It also seems to stop ants from excavating upward through the crack in addition to making it completely waterproof.

I have been purchasing this product from the manufacturer in the USA for the past three years and am very pleased with it. It was available at Home Depot in the USA but not in Canada. Home Depot USA would not ship to a Canadian address. I sent a couple messages to Home Depot Canada suggesting that this was an excellent product for driveways in our harsh environment and that they should be carrying it in Canada. Sure enough, 8 months later they had it available online. I only wish they would go one step farther and make it available in local stores. Secret of success for using this product is to seal all cracks and holes before the rainy fall season so water does not accumulate under the blacktop and heave with the freezing winter temperatures.

I have used every type of liquid crack filler out there and THIS product is the only one that truly works! It takes a little bit more time but it stays!

I see several comments about the installation process being difficult. The key I found to make this product work will is to apply it with a torch like you are melting a candle.
Start by cleaning the cracks out with a broom or compressed air to give you a good surface for adhesion. Then start on one end and if the crack is wide enough press the stix into it then heat with a torch to begin the melting process. The material does not have to become liquid just soft with surface melting so it will flow into the crack and begin to stick. Now with the rope of material continue down the full length of the crack. In some areas where the crack is too narrow then melt the product so it flows in and fills the crack but just keep moving. Very much like melting a candle.
I've repair not only my driveway but helped two of my neighbors repair theirs also and the product holds up nicely for a couple years. We have had some hard winters with snow removal machines working the surface often. The temperature has gone from 103f to -10f with this product holding up.
The pictures are of the small torch used to apply Crack Stix and of my driveway 2 years later. You can see the product is still in good form but needing to be refreshed. I just ordered another 125' to freshen up the driveway for another couple years. Highly recommend it.

I have repaired several cracks in my drive, some were shallow and some were deep, and this product is wonderful. Follow the directions, take time and do it correctly, and the repair should be first-rate. I recently purchased a second container of Crack-Stix because I was impressed with the product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Golldarn Best solution I have found
If you have an asphalt driveway, you will eventually be trying products that repair cracks. All the cold application products I've tried last one season at best. I did try a product that required heating for a half hour and pouring into the cracks. Although it did work there was a lot of fumes and mess. This product is sort of like a rope of rubber/tar that you melt as you go - much neater and easier. It certainly looks like it will last nicely. With a plumbers torch you are ready to go. The technique I liked best was just melting it in as I work along, sort of like soldering. You can stop or resume work very easily too.

I had a rather large crack cross my asphalt driveway. It was too big for the bottle of filler material. The crack-stix did the trick. It was easy to use as you could break off a piece or cut it with a knife to fit the section I was working on. As the material warmed by the sun it got easier to break. I used mine with a cane style burner. It melted easily into the crack but you have to monitor how much you're using as the instructions cautioned about over-filling. The catch phase was "crack-stix go into the crack, not on the crack". My situation was complicated by an irregular surface which I overcame by making several passes over the crack, and breaking off material to fit as I reheated previous material.

I began to realize that our asphalt driveway might not last through another cold winter and wet spring if we didn't take steps to repair the many deep cracks in it. A lot of grass and weeds have taken over parts of it. The Crack Stix appears to be the perfect solution. My husband and I have developed a good rhythm of cleaning the vegetation out, then partially filling the deep cracks with excess small gravel loosened from other parts of the driveway, then topping off with sand to make sure it's sealed. My husband then applies the heat to the Crack Stix with a long extension torch attached to a propane tank. It's not the fastest repair process, but it's working beautifully. My driveway may look like a Zebra now, but it's going to be better than having to mow it!
