The humidifier works really well. My issues with it is you cannot carry it by the handle when it is filled making it awkward to carry and place on the base. The handle should be designed differently. Also, when you lift the empty tank off of the base there is a pool of water that drips all over!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PassionPurrs A product that really works ...
A product that really works without having to spend more monies and time to clean mineral buildup. The "warmth" finally kicked in on day three and it runs extremely quiet. It is a no brainer humidifier, add filtered water (best) and plug in. I keep the humidity level at 50% or higher. This humidifier blows out massive amounts and I have yet to see "white film" anywhere (I have it on a black stove). It took a few days to get used to the high pitch ding when I have it programmed, but I am majorly happy. I just hope the monies spent on this will last longer than one or two winter seasons (other brand lasted for 7 years, but cleaning was brutal) or it will be my last one! I keep my thermostat from 65 to 68 degrees and with the humidifier running, it stays about 3 to 5 degrees above. Filling up is easy and a little clumsy putting it back, but its a vertical human issue, not a product issue.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GoDIY Quiet, (BUT) had a tech issue, sent it back, got a new one
This is a very quiet room humidifier. I use it in the center of my more tropical houseplants and the colors are coming back. The problem mentioned was that I had it all set up and every time I hit any button on my TV controller, it changed the settings on the humidifier. Hmm. Maybe a remote humidifier for the future, but for now it had to go back. The lady at Crane was helpful, said that R&D was aware of the problem and the item was returned and the fixed one was returned. I recommend this item and I am buying a second one for use by my other plants and just for comfort. BTW, the rep from Crane said any further units will not be affeected by TV remotes, etc.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by trau Excellent quality, full range of features
Extremely quiet, excellent moisture output. More than sufficient for a 500 square foot room. Depending on how hard your water is, recommend the filter that attaches to the water tank cap so as to avoid hassle of using distilled water or routine de-mineralizing. Great programmable features, mist intensity, heat/cool, and humidity level. Light sleepers beware, unit will cycle on and off to maintain a constant humidity level and LED readout is noticeable at night. Manual knob version of unit may be better option in that case. Very pleased with this model.

I am SO happy I purchased this Humidifier, it has been amazing to say the least. It does exactly what it says it will do and I am beyond happy with the performance. My nasal passages benefit greatly from this Humidifier, plus the air feels so much better which does help eliminate static shock in the house. I move this Humidifier between my bedroom [15x20] to the great room, my great room measures 20x28 and this Humidifier does a great job, it is quiet and does not leak, although I do place the Humidifier on a baking sheet because the directions state to place it on a smooth surface, carpet is not a smooth surface.
I would definitely buy this product again and again. I am highly satisfied!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by TCMVermont Great overall, a couple of design flaws
We've only had the humidifier for two weeks, but it is doing a great job. Very quiet and easy to operate. There are two design flaws: The filled water reservoir has to fit over a raised piece of plastic in the base, but the directions say that the slightly flimsy carrying handle should not be used when the reservoir is full! It is very awkward to fit the reservoir on the base; the machine must be turned around and the heavy reservoir balanced over the male end of the base. I am afraid that one of these days that part of the base will simply get snapped off by a less than perfect landing of the reservoir, killing the machine. The second flaw is the plastic mist director on top of the machine. It is easy to position but not anchored to the top, and blends in with the design so well that so that every time you turn the reservoir over to refill it, the piece falls on the floor. Very annoying! Hopefully these flaws can be fixed in future models.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by JFMSLM Great humidifier with one major flaw
This humidifier was extremely quiet and had a nice contemporary look; however, programming it was a little annoying because there were so many options and tons of beeping noises when trying to program so not good if you want to change a setting in the middle of the night; it would wake someone up for sure.
The biggest flaw for sure was that when you changed a setting in a room with a TV it changed the channels on the TV! I did read this in a review before I purchased but a later review said the issue had been resolved with newer models. This was not the case so I ended up returning the unit since I had bought it specifically for the bedroom.:(
