So disappointed on this product. Bought 4 two years ago. One failed last December, one did the same thing two weeks ago, and the rest two only have part of the led units working. All bulbs have debris inside. One got a loosed glue piece inside, and one got a big crack on the glass cover.

I bought this about a year ago and 1/2 side has now failed to work. Supposed to work 20 years . . . I don't think so.

Purchased two light bulbs about a year ago from Home Depot. One stop working about three months down the road and could not get a replacement from Cree because I have not kept my receipt from Home Depot. The second one start acting strength recently. It would turn off for a few minutes and then turn back on again. Look like there are connection issues after the bulb heat up. Do not expect a branded name like Cree have such a poor quality light bulb.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ray Short life span, bad warranty process
Bought a dozen of these a year ago, i have 8 that failed so far. I did not keep my receipt so i cannot get these warrantied. These have only been out for maybe 2 years. So Cree knows that these are all within the warranty period.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Buck Very Good Light Output
Love the light output of this bulb. Good color too. No humming or buzzing that I've noticed, however I have not used this bulb with a dimmer. The bulb is a bit wider than a conventional bulb especially with the fins near the base, however it has fit in most of the fixtures I have tried it in. It will not likely fit in smaller lamps - including smaller outdoor fixtures - so I had to sue the "60W" version in those cases. Our local utilities subsidize the prices of some of these bulbs - I have replaced all the ugly fluorescents in our house and love the instant on and color rendition of the CREE bulbs.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BrokenOldGuy Works as it should - so far.
The bulb is larger than I expected and fills the fixture more than a conventional bulb, but the light color is just right and output is excellent. It has only been a month, but if it last as it is advertised, it will be a good buy.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Sherman Do not last!
I purchased two of these bulbs for living room lamps. The lamps are on a time and in operation for about 10 hours during the day - morning and evening. After about 3 months one bulb burned out. I figured maybe it was just a bad one. I purchased a replacement. Six months later, the second of the original two burned out. Not even one year worth of use. Hardly the 22 years they advertise.
I still want to use LED bulbs but won't spend $20 for Cree brand again.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by spepin Pretty poor reliability - not what I'd expect from Cree
I was looking for a bright LED bulb for my garage door opener since it supplies most of the ight for my garage. I bought two of these bulbs and installed them four days ago. They supposedly last up to 25,000 hours and are backed by a 10 year warranty. I'm sure I'm going to get real friendly with their warranty department, because one of the bulbs only lasted four days! I'd say the cumulative usage was under 10 hours. Not what I'd expect from a Cree bulb with a $20 price tag!
