Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Argon532 Terrific lights - I have not tried these on a dimmer
Length of ownership: 6 months
Total bulbs: 9
Failures or defects: none
Setting: indoor and garage
Fixtures: mix of completely enclosed (no air circulation) and open
Power consumption: 9.9 watts with moderate use
Quality of light: Very bright daylight glow. These lights are cooler (whiter) than regular incandescent lights. Great for areas where good lighting is needed.
Performance: Instant on, subjectively seems more like a 100W incandescent bulb
Omnidirectional? Yes, see pictures.
Dimming: have not tested but I also have the 2700k version which works terrific when dimmed
Issues: None, but I have not tried them on a dimmer.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kathy Out with Incandescense, in with Leds
I am pretty upset with the way my electric bill has been, so I bought 18 of these bulbs and yes they cost (alot) more, that's why 4 stars for value. I really hope the future shows they are an excellent value. I really am happy with how bright these lights really are, and yes, they are dimmable. Still use my old dimmer switches.
Switching out 15 mr16 hallogen (kitchen) bulbs will be my next led project. Hoping the cost will come down though, and they MUST dim.
So it's still early to see if I have made a noticeable difference on electric use, but I am happy with how they light up each room!! Also, thanks to the internet, I had lots of choices and kept changing my mind, but in the end it was HD.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Eric A realy efficient light bulb for a standard socket
These bulbs produce 800 lumens (60W equiv.) for 9 watts of electricity (89 L/W). The daylight color (5000K) produces a bright white light. I have bought 43 of them and plan to order 6 more. The price is high but they are slightly cheaper in packages of 6. They fit standard sockets (A-19 shape) and are more energy efficient than CFLs, or 4 ft. long T-32 bulbs yet do not require a balast. The are supposed to last 25K hours, so should pay back many times their cost in energy savings. They are great for work lights as they do not get hot like incandescents.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jerenergy The CREE 9-watt bulb is fantastic and affordable
This LED bulb is by far the best LED bulb I've ever used. It only uses 9 watts, which is about 1/7th the energy usage of a 60 watt bulb. Plus, it doesn't have any mercury like CFL bulbs do, and honestly seems a lot brighter than a 60 watt bulb does. It will most likely last longer than I'll live, which is pretty incredible to think about. It's a wise investment and may result in you only having to change a bulb once in your lifetime. I am going to buy more of these, they are really nice and have a perfect hue of light.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ranukic Failing Bulbs
We had a new Energy Star Certified home built in 2013 and I decided to use the Cree 60w daylight bulbs in all of our light fixtures. The fact that these bulbs are assembled in the USA helped me decide on purchasing them. The energy savings has been incredible!
One problem I am starting to notice is in the master bedroom and master bath the lights have started to turn completely off for a fraction of a second inn both rooms separate circuits. In the master bedroom I have one light that will go completely off. I had our electrical provider come out and check to make sure there was nothing loose at our main or in our breaker box. I also checked to make sure the bulb was tight enough. I guess I get to go through the process of returning the lights I am having trouble with.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AndrewGSTX Great American made product!
I'm so happy that Home Depot is carrying these top-quality American made Cree LED bulbs! I've bought 4 so far and plan to buy more until my entire house is filled with them. Bright white light is an understatement. I've never seen such an efficient LED bulb and the price can't be beat. The photo I've posted is of 3 of these bulbs on the front of my house consuming only 27 watts.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by John Poorly made, all fail.
I bought a pack of 6 of these so I could phase out CFLs, especially in hard to reach places. One fixture with 4 bulbs rarely has more than 1 bulb actually working at a time. I have given up on trying to make them work and am looking to replace them with a more reliable brand. They are way too expensive to be this unreliable.
