The failure rate on these bulbs is ridiculously high and the warranty requires that you send them to the manufacturer with proof of purchase. I purchased enough of these to replace all the light bulbs in my home and in my rental properties. I have had multiple failures within months, not years. I also discovered that if you put these bulbs in a garage door opener, they will cause enough interference to prevent the remotes from working consistently. I am hugely disappointed and wish that the Home Depot would begin carrying an alternative brand that is more reliable and/or less expensive.

I have many different types of LED bulbs in my home and Cree are by far the worse in regards to reliability. If lucky they may last 2 years on a 7 or 10 year warranty. Save your money and buy a reliable brand like Philips that will last.

We bought this light for the dimmable features and the warmth of the color. It was billed to have a 27 year lifespan based on 3 hours per day. This burned out after 1 year with only mild use, far less than the three hours per day. They say it comes with a 100% guarantee, but it's not worth it figuring out how to trade it in. It's better just to avoid the product altogether.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't last I read good reviews, so I replaced every light bulb in the house with these. I have had to replace most of them again in less then a year. The light from them looks like a standard bulb so they would be great if they lasted as long as they claim.
