Using bulb indoors, having the dimmable option is handy. Takes few seconds to achieve max brightness, but guess all LEDS do.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JimD Great replacement for compact fluorescent bulbs and incandescent
If you've ever used compact fluorescent bulbs, you know how dim they start out and eventually brighten up. With these led bulbs, they turn on instantly to full brightness. Two benefits to led compared to cfl: no mercury gas and leds don't fade colors like fluorescent lights.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DigitalWillD Bright, beautiful, affordable LED flood
This Cree LED floodlight bulb crossed a threshold I've waited a long time for. For years I've experimented with different LED bulbs, trying to find one that was bright, had true color and was affordable. Cree has nailed it on all counts. This bulb puts out 650 lumens which lights up an area very nicely. It has a color temperature of 5000k producing a clean, true "daylight" look, not the blue-cyan tint of all the other LED "daylight" bulbs I tried. That alone would have sold me. Lastly, it's at a price point that makes it easy to buy entire sets of bulbs for rooms. I've done several rooms already. I've found my LED bulb finally. The other Cree daylight bulb are excellent as well.

Lots of light! Low power usage. And a long life. Can leave them 24/7 and not worry about a high electric bill.

This 5000k is great to light your home with pure brightness. Its whiteness is great. It makes any home look brighter and big.

I bought 12 of these bulbs and 4 arrived broken. That's a different story...so I installed the 8 survivors which gave me a good comparison of the old incandescent bulb and the LED. The LED is so bright and white compared to the old bulbs. I've heard there's a softer LED bulb or at least one with a softer lens, but this isn't it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jose Nice product but needs better packaging
The bulbs work great, but one came broken. HD Needs to do a better job packaging the, as the cushion was not enough. The light bulbs work great, but they are a white tone and I like the daylight tone better .

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tickedoffinTX Home Depot can't seem to deliver this 2U100 10-year warranty bulb
I've been using this bulb from Home Depot for almost 2 years. I recently decided I needed to replace several more incandescent bulbs in our living room and kitchen with these exact LEDs. I would recommend the bulb to other customers, but don't count on getting exactly this 2U100 model when you order from HomeDepot.com. Your mileage may vary but I can't seem to get them.
OK, let me say that these reviews must be mixed up between actual models because one review that I read referred to the '4U100 on this page' (but I'm reading it on the 2U100 page). There's also a bit of incorrect information from reviews on which model number has a 5-year and which has a 10-year warranty. The BBR30-06550FLF-12DE26-2U100 has a 10-year warranty, and the BBR30-06550FLF-12DE26-4U100 with slightly different specs has only a 5-year warranty.
I've tried twice to get exactly what I ordered from HomeDepot.com, but they can't seem to fill my order with the 10-year warranty 2U100s I order (and which show in stock), so I won't try again. The original one I bought was carried in the store at the time, but not any more. I can get these for a couple bucks cheaper per bulb elsewhere, so that's what I'll do.
But, in all fairness to the product I am reviewing, it has so far held up for close to 2 years, it outshines the incandescent bulbs in the same room, is not blue at all but shines a bright white, and is so far instant and dimmable while paired with 3 other incandescent bulbs on the same dimmer (actually, 1 other now since two incandescent bulbs are burned out). I'll change them when the right bulbs come in because they are almost 14' high in my living room ceiling, so I only want to do that once in a while.
See the attached picture to compare this LED bulb to natural light and incandescent light.
