Solid bulb an well built. Dims better than most, but when dimmed, the light is an ugly gray-green which makes room unpleasant. It does not dim to the warm color . . . at all. At full brightness, the color is great and matches standard bulbs. I bought 4 and was going to buy 8 more for kitchen, but when dimmed, the light is just to unpleasant. Why spend a bunch making your house look good, but then light it with terrible lighting. I tested against 3 other LED bulbs. Costco was the worst and the cheapest and did not dim well. G7 from amazon makes probably the best light as it is a bit warmer at full brightness and when dimmed, but was a plastic lens. If you just need full brightness, these are great. Hope that helps.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Dean A good quality energy saving product.
I have always liked the LED technology. They are instant on with no warm up time and they use less energy then a CFL bulb and they should last a lifetime. They give off very little heat and the light is clean.
The prices are starting to come down as more people are buying them.
I have converted most of my house to LED
Most people who don't like the light of the LED bulbs have purchased the wrong color temp.
I only buy the soft or warm light versions which gives a similar light to the old style incandescent bulbs. It's a very comfortable warm light. The day light version is a very bright and harsh light with a fatiguing color and glare. I do not recomend the day light version.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by RJJ21 Excellent replacement for standard BR30
This product produced light equivalent in brightness and color to my Feit 75W standard bulb. I am unable to tell a difference between them. The neck of the Cree bulb is larger than a standard bulb so if you have a narrow opening to the socket this might not fit. Bulb is cool to the touch and has a rubberized texture that makes it easy to install without dropping. With a power draw one tenth of the standard bulb I expect to see savings over the lifetime of the bulb.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Tmick Looks just like incandescent
It looks the part when off or on. Light output and color accuracy are what you expect from a PAR30. New price makes it a 100% winner.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Jabomi Great bulb though not as warm as incandescent
We replaced the six incandescent bulbs in our kitchen with these about a month ago. These appear to put out slightly more light, and the light is slightly cooler than the incandescent bulbs. These differences are noticeable but not distracting (an occasional visitor would probably not be able to tell we have different bulbs). We do not use the dimming feature. Given what we paid for these and our electricity rates, these will pay for themselves after about 2500 hours of use. That's good, but I think the price is still a little too high.
