The 8 in. Ratcheting Adjustable Wrench is a new tool in the Crescent line that is over 100 years old. Fasteners are often located in spaces that allow little room to move and reposition a wrench. This innovative wrench solves that problem.

  • Speed allows you to turn nuts and bolts without taking the wrench off the fastener, making jobs faster and easier
  • Convenience ratcheting on or off switch allows wrench to also be used as a traditional adjustable wrench
  • Comfort unique handle design accommodates a wide variety of hand sizes and shapes and promotes proper use
  • Handle design provides comfort during long usage times

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not a reliable tool I bought it with little hope it would work as intended, it was just too good to be true. I'll be returning it after only a few days because while it worked the first 2 times I tried it, it started sticking after a ratchet back and wouldn't recatch. I also found it didnt work on stuff that wasn't at least the width of the weench and wouldn't work on smaller stuff like 3/8 and below because the little bit of play it maintained even while locked was too much to maintain its grip on the bolt. It's an awesome idea and I'm glad Crescent is making an effort to innovate but it needs to go back to R&D. October 14, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I like this tool Excellent quality tool, very precise adjustment and ergonomic shape. September 15, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mediocre Mediocre. Very flimsy. The ratchet mechanism is hard to engage and the adjustable wrench part of it is too wobbly to apply any force and the whole thing is a bit too bulky to get into places you need it. August 25, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Too difficult to use the ratchet I fell for the gimmick on this one. It's a decent wrench but the ratchet function is just too much of a pain to get it to work properly -- it makes the whole wrench feel loose and seems to need about a quarter of a turn to actually engage the ratchet (which sort of defeats the purpose of something that in theory is supposed to let you work in a really tight spot. I think I'll stick to a regular adjustable crescent wrench and leave the ratcheting to the fixed-size hex wrenches. May 26, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Useless in deed! I am a Millwight and have many tools. Just added this to my inventory and tried it over and over again but could not find it useful in any application. Too awkward in tight places, slows you down since you need to make sure it locks in position every time you move it, if not it would slide around the nuts and stay like open. In order to lock it I had to hold the top with my finger and makes it very hard to use, and the plastic handle is not strong enough. I would never recommend this item. I just threw it away because nobody wanted it. It is not worth all that money anyways. Get something else. Thanks for reading. January 31, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not impressed! It looks great and seems like a great idea...but used professionally light duty on bolts for cameras I was not impressed by the "ratchet" . I really thought it was a joke..it moves so little as to be effective...Ha! Touch the little switch and it works like a regular adjustable wrench. SO thats where I left in my pouch. So much for the idea....maybe Dewalt will make one that will work. Greg in Albuquerque March 11, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rather useless ratcheting feature It works great with the fake nut on the package. I used it under my sink with limited access and room and the thing just didnt work well. It seems to do better with a tight nut with plenty of room which is why I give it a 2. But, I just hit the lock-out switch and use it as a regular wrench now. February 10, 2015
