Rated 3 out of 5Â by Truwire Works great on larger bolts
I bought this wrench for a specific project which involves numerous sized bolts. For the larger 3/4 to 7/8 bolts it worked great, for anything 1/2" & smaller it was bad. On smaller bolts it doesn't seem to be able to get a grip on the head and slips (and more than once rounded off the corners). So in summary - big bolts good, small bolts bad. As for wingnuts, etc I can only assume it would be good (as slipping should not be a problem).

The Crescent ratcheting socket wrench is an excellent invention. It is a wonderful tool with many uses and can be easily used by either left or right handed users.

Received as a gift for Xmas. Ratchet only worked to loosen, not tighten. Returned for another which would lock, the thumb screw would not work, unless you finessed the threads by hand. Great idea, poor build. Won't be giving this thing a third chance.

This item has worked great and is extremely handy when you can't find the exact socket, or don't want to carry an entire socket set with you. Definitely deserves the Crescent name, quality built and tough. Highly recommend. I will probably get a couple more to keep one immediately available on my boat and in my truck.
