Product Overview

These ribbed plastic anchors are intended for light duty anchor applications. The ribs prevent the anchor from turning in the hole during installation and expand as the screw is tightened. The split in the anchor ensures expansion on two opposing sides. These anchors are not recommended for overhead use.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by .22lr snap caps I don't think anyone uses these for the intended purpose. They work great in my S&W SW22 Victory. July 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An alternative use for this product These work great as .22LR snap caps and are much less expensive than those you can buy at the sporting goods store! September 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect alternative to 22 LR snap caps! As with the previous reviewer, I too purchased a box of these yellow plastic anchors in place of snap caps for my 22 LR rimfire semi automatic pistol. Why pay $12 for 10 plastic snap caps when you can buy 100 for $3.50? These plastic anchors are a perfect fit in a 22 LR barrel, and work just as good (if not better) as conventional snap caps for safely dry firing your 22 LR firearm without the risk of damaging your firing pin. Why even better? Well, unlike plastic snap caps that are brittle, these anchors are made of a softer material that deform with continued use (rather than chipping off). After dry firing with a plastic anchor, you'll notice the indentation left by the firing pin. By simply turning the plastic anchor a little bit after each dry fire, you give your firing pin a fresh new area to hit. Replace with a new plastic anchor once the edges of your used anchor are completely worn. Rinse, and repeat. It's as simple as that! Believe me, 100 fresh plastic anchors will go a long way! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dual purpose This size of plastic anchor works well as .22 lr caliber snap caps to protect your firing pin when dry firing. Use at your own risk but this info is all over the internet on shooting blogs. February 25, 2014
