I would think so if you have a weighted umbrella base under the table.

I did this and it works great! It was a perfect fit. I did not put the plastic shaft into the umbrella stand.

This application would require that the shaft also be inserted into the umbrella base.

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 57 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good I was all set to buy concrete, etc. to put this in the ground and saw a review using a table base. I figured I would give it a shot and it is a great solution. I had an small extra patio table and I can sit my basket on it while I hang clothes. It is light and setup took 3 minutes since I was using the table. I can tell the lines will have to be tightened often though I haven't had to yet. I rotate as I go, adding clothes closest to the center, on each side, then moving outward. Holds 2 loads easy, with space left over, and I have a large washer. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it I love this clothes line. It works great. I put it in an existing pole so that I can remove it to store during winter. I had my other clothesline removed and only use this one. August 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this thing! I've had this a week and already love it. I use mine on the deck and put it into a picnic table's umbrella stand. It is a perfect fit. A strong wind will blow it over so I am careful where I set it up on a windy day. It is aluminum and seems like it will bend. Using every other line I easily fit 1.5 loads of laundry on it (I have a big washer) including a queen sheet set. The sheets did need to wrap around the corner and that was easy to do. I fold flat sheets in half when I hang them so I am not bothered by the height as another reviewer wrote...I would need a stool to reach the top line if it was much higher (I'm 5'5"). When it rains I can set this up in the garage and in the winter I plan to set it up in the basement. July 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Definite improvement My previous clothesline was in terrible shape with the lines broken and was not stable, this clothesline is definitely an improvement as it is much sturdier and the line itself is stronger July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product. Sturdy but yet light. Ready to mount. No assembly. Just unpack mount ready to use. Light but sturdy. One manjob. July 19, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gets the job done I loveit. Great price works great. Light weight. Built well June 28, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Hmmm Easy set up, but clothes line seems to stretch and sag even after tightening. July 6, 2016
