All materials for this bathroom remodel came from home depot.
This project was a full remodel from new water lines to the finished tile and cabinets.
The bathroom is only 5 feet wide and 9 feet deep, so every inch needed to be utilized properly for handicap accessibility.
The shower pan is a MUSTEE Caregiver Shower Tub which fit seamlesly into the old bath tub area along with the drain kit which is made to replace a tub drain so that the floor does not need to be cut open and underground plumbing does not need to be changed. (You do however need access from the other side of the wall to connect the drain during installation.) An access door here would be prudent anyway.
The tile is Dal tile Folk stone Sandy Beach 6 in. x 6 in. Ceramic Tile which I found to be of great quality, very square and flat for a high quality installation, all the trim pieces are also available for this tile along with the corner shelves, soap dishes and setting materials.
The KOHLER Fluence 59-5/8 in. x 70-5/16 in. Frameless Bypass Shower doors installed in about 3 hours and perform great, very simple installation and great instructions. Inside of doors have a coating on the glass to prevent spotting which work quite well in our very hard water.
The Moen fixtures installed and perform great, all were available in stock.
The fold away seat is of high quality and very sturdy, it does however required that you install backing or bracing in the wall to support the seat. The seat folds up out of the way for easy entry and exit, it only protrudes out about 2 inches from the wall when folded up, you will need your own mounting hardware.
The grab bar also requires some extra backing in the wall so if you decide on a full remodel then plan out your project so that while the sheetrock is removed you can incorporate extra bracing for grab bars and seats etc.
A pocket door was also installed to replace the old hinged door for easier access in and out of the bathroom which also came from home depot and in stock.
As stated before, all items in this full bathroom remodel came from and are available at your local home depot, some specialty items may need to be ordered, we needed to order the shower pan, glass doors, seat and the shower drain, everything else was in stock.
This bathroom remodel was for an older person to be able to get around more easily without having to worry about access issues in the future. If you have an elderly parent or client that has the need for such a remodel then it is very valuable to go to the home depot web site and begin researching all the possibilities. All items have good detailed descriptions along with installation instructions in most cases so you can plan your project to the last detail.
Included are before and after photo's of this project.
It will give you piece of mind knowing that an elderly family member can remain in their home with just a few consciences improvements to make their daily life safer for a longer independence.
By doing this work yourself instead of hiring a bathroom remodel company you will save thousands.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by housewifeman good for our use
We got two of these but not for the shower. I put one by the back door and the other in the garage by the door that leads into the house so we have someplace to sit while removing our shoes. I think they are rated for 220 lbs and I am assuming that means on the seat itself. Also be aware these do not come with any mounting hardware. Also I found a youtube that showed the proper way to mount them by first mounting a large square piece of board to the wall and then mounting the seat to the board.
