Recently started a new garden with a much larger machine and then used the Cub Cadet to cultivate the soil with additives such as mulch, peat moss and other additives for better soil. It did a great job mixing the additives. Not recommended for establishing beds, but great for maintenance. Only dislike was the wheels are not very stable. They should be further apart as the machine tips over easily when rolling it around. Liked that the width for cultivating can be reduced easily.

Easy to start, easy removal of tines for cleaning. Strong engine and gearbox. This unit will do a lot of heavy work for such a small package and the price makes it affordable.

The cultivator is easy to use. It handles very well and I can lift it without straining. I am 77 years old and very limited in my strength and stamina.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pudge Decent buy for smaller jobs
It's a little guy. But, it's a powerful little unit. Good for smaller jobs.
I used it to till a 10'x16' garden...so far. Handled the job no problem.
2 minor complaints: The wheel base is only 9". So, it's not real stable trying to roll it across a yard.
It will tip over. (Fine when in action though, it's weight is on the blades)
The handle height, at it's lowest setting, is too high...unless you are 6' +.
I'll cut the handle shorter, and drill new holes.
Overall...very pleased with it's power and performance

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jb Lots of power, small package
This tiller shocked me when I tried it in some medium-hard dirt with tree roots around 1 inch or less, was no problem for this unit. I especially like the 4 cycle engine (no mixing 2 stroke oil with gas) and also the best feature I like is the fact that I could never get the motor to stop or even reduce ANY RPM's while using it in the toughest situation for this size of tiller. The engine seems bullet proof and is always very easy to start. I would love to get the 800.00 dollar large Cub Cadet tiller however it would be overkill for my needs. Hope this helps.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Puffy awesome cultivator
i have a 20 x 40 ft garden and use a regular full size tiller at the start of the season and in between rows until plants are too high. I needed a smaller tiller (cultivator) to get in between these rows mid season. I have a cub cadet riding mowing and push mower that have been outstanding so i know i was going to go for a cub cadet. I found this one at home depot last summer. Works great, easy to pick up and maneuver. its best to go forward then pull back towards yourself to get deeper in the ground. i would recommend this cub cadet....

Best cultivator I've ever used. Light weight, handles with ease. Exactly what I expected it to be.
