Works well. My only criticism is no differential makes turning difficult.

I'm using it to prepare my front yard for seeding. The first area was not too hard packed and it went through that very quickly with the tines rotating forward. The second area was harder and I started with the tines in forward. The machine jumped forward and was hard on me holding it back. I ran it with the tines in reverse and it worked fine. The machine has five gear settings, forward, neutral, and reverse without the tines moving; and two more in forward with the tines rotating forward and reverse. In forward without the tines it still moves at the speed of when the tines are engaged. In reverse it moves very fast if you mash the engagement bail all the way. I eased squeezing the bail to get it to back-up slower. Last year I rented a front tine tiller and it beat me up in less than an hour. I was tired after using this one for a couple of hours, but not beat-up. I'm a skinny 64 year old guy. I did go through one belt kind of quickly. Finding an OEM belt in San Antonio was impossible, I had to order it online. I love it.

While using the tiller on hard rocky ground that has not been worked for years, it cut into the ground with ease, didn't bounce me around like other tillers that we have had before. It starts easy with one pull and goes easily into gear, runs smoothly and all I have to do is walk behind it as it does the work in breaking up the soil

I've had one of these beasts for about 5yrs. I've ruined 2 tillers before this one due to the rough rocky ground. To put it simply, I've beaten the heck out of this one and it just keeps on ticking. Here in Arkansas we have more rocks than dirt, (and stuff grows in it just fine) and this baby chews right through it. Occasionally it'll catch a rock, but a quick change in tine direction throws'em right out. My garden is about 40x300ft and this tiller has never even broken a tine on all the rocks. I finally had to adjust the belt last year, and low and behold needed a new belt this year (who knew?). So ya, well worth the money, solid and very rough design.

TILLER WAS EASY TO ASSEMBLE& I LIKED THE FACT THAT CULTIVATE MODE IS A FASTER GEAR RATIO THAN TILL MODE.

Works GREAT in all soils. We have three large garden plots and this tiller is a REAL work horse.

Great tiller, the only change that I would make is a swing handle so you can walk to the side while tilling
