Hello. Use automotive gasoline (unleaded or low leaded to minimize combustion chamber deposits) with a minimum of 87 octane. Gasoline with up to 10% ethanol or 15% MTBE (Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether) can be used. Never use an oil/gasoline mixture or dirty gasoline. Avoid getting dirt, dust, or water in the fuel tank. DO NOT use E85 gasoline.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good power and snow removal but average otherwise. This unit has power to spare and successfully throws any kind of snow you throw at it. The functionality is superb. However, on my third use a wheel fell off. Turns out they are held on with a push-cap. My radio flyer wheels are held on with a push-cap. Seems to me a more secure method of mounting the wheels should be used. More in sync with the cost and importance of the unit. The service department is sending parts (a new push-cap, a washer and a spacer) but until they arrive it's back to the old shovel. This is probably a quality control issue at the factory. The wheel seemed a little wobbly when it arrived. January 13, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by snow packs on the wheel under drive belt I just bought this snow blower 1/20/25016 and the first time i used it on about 3 inches of snow the wheel under the drive belt stopped turning on count of snow packing up and the wheel stopped. Had to clean the snow and ice off several times. It is a poor design from cub cadet. On 1/22/2016 we had 8 plus inches of snow and the same problem. It was a night mare to stop and clean the wheel off. I would give it 5 stars it this did not happen. January 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works for me. This is perfect for here in Boise. We receive moderate amounts of snow and this machine handles it well. October 26, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by good for thick slushy snow I have been able to use this machine now 5 times this winter. The first time I got to use it it was throwing 1.5" of very heavy slush without clogging. Awesome. It starts quick and easy. The more I have used it on regular snow however, I have been somewhat disappointed. It is the loudest machine I have owned and feels like it is going to fall apart as soon as I engage the auger. It seems to throw as much snow under the auger back at my feet as it does out the chute. The skinny short and curved handles hurt my hands after 5 mins of using. They would be well served to put an inch of foam all around the handles. The odd shape only gives you a small area for your hands and you feel like you are pushing your daughters toy baby carriage. It has been two hours and my hands still hurt. I do like the chute controls and the headlight has helped with night work. I am up in the air about recommending this, but since I have to choose, I will say yes, I recommend it, but barely. In the review section, I don't understand what "smart attitude" means.
