Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall great product that's reliable and easy to use Needed a reliable, easy to start and easy to operate snow blower that can handle at least 12" at a pass, something another member of hte family can use as well as me. Found it! December 4, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent snow blower I bought my 530SWE 3 years ago and it has been a wonderful piece of equipment. I had a nice 24" 2 stage that I used for 8 years, but due to clearing snow for my family and 2 elderly neighbors as well as blowing the sidewalk for our street my wife persuaded me to get a larger machine to make the job easier. I looked at and tried out the Cub Cadet, a Toro, and an Ariens in the 30" range. I choose the Cub Cadet due to a larger engine and controls that I liked the feel/operation of better. The motor starts on the 1st or second pull every time (I have only used the electric start a couple times as i don't want to hall out extension cords when the manual recoil starts so easy). traction control/power steering took some getting use to, but it is a great aid in maneuvering once you get the hang of it. If you keep up on the preventive maintenance and keep the cables lubed the chute direction and deflector angle both work very smoothly all winter. The hand warmers work well without any issues and the tires provide great traction without any additional traction devices installed - with chains installed the traction is fantastic and the blower will power through ANY snow regardless of depth - even heavy and/or wet snow. My only change to the snow blower would be to incorporate some metal reinforcement for the power steering trigger connection and trigger. Presently the 2 triggers on the handles are all plastic including the area where the cable connects to the trigger. I have found that if the air temperature outside is -25 or colder which is does get several times a year where I live that the plastic can crack from the cold when you try to operate the trigger - I have had to replace the triggers on mine. I have to believe there is an alloy which would be stronger in the cold, lightweight, and cost effective that could be implemented in place of the all plastic design. It is amazing to me the difference in the amount of snow I can move with this 30 inch blower compared with my prior 24" blower and how much time I save. February 7, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Piece of Junk The tire goes flat. The steering works about half of the time. The handle for controlling the direction of the chute is hard to manipulate. January 8, 2013
