If I buy it online and have it shiped to my home how much assembly is there to it

Asked by: Rich
Mine: almost No assembly; Disassembling the wood crate took some time, though. Add gas/Check oil level/check-+ air in tires...I charged the battery for a few minutes [though, not really needed] It was almost perfect..

Does it have an attachment site for a Sulky?

Does this mower have enough power to pull an attached Sulky with an average sized male (180lbs).?
Asked by: Mike
Yes=enough Power....No; the 760es only has one driven wheel at a time, the one with the least [like a rear wheel drive car or truck] with a sulky, would need individually controlled with both wheels driven, I'm pretty sure. Unless: If what U have to cut is Perfectly flat area; you could probably attach a sulky to it, and be able to control the mower.

Customer Reviews

33 in. 420 cc Self-Propelled Electric Start Wide-Cut Gas Lawn Mower is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Time Saver I've mowed about 4 times with this piece and I'll tell you it's a beast. This machine has cut my mowing time in half. It will cut through wet grass with ease and tall grass doesn't stand a chance. The only drawbacks to this machine I have encountered are it takes a few cuts to get used to. You will work yourself until you figure how to smoothly make turns. I wish the blade and throttle handles where on the bottom as they tend to get slippery as you sweat. You can wear gloves or wrap the grips with a sports tape for bats and tennis racquet handles. I read some reviews about belts jumping off, I haven't had any issues but I always ease down on the blade and throttle handles. It's a pretty big investment for a walk behind mower considering most use a 20" for residential but you won't be sorry. I look forward to many years with my cub.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I've owned and used this model once a week during the growing season (about 30 weeks/year here) for the past 3 years. This mower is surprisingly agile and precise, and it makes mowing a pleasure. It easily powers through tall, thick, or wet grass at whatever speed I want, and it makes a nice level cut. The only problem is the cables that control the blade clutch and the forward propulsion break a lot. I'm on my third set at the moment, and I have another set sitting ready for when these break. They break in multiple ways, sometimes getting caught and abraded in the bolt heads beneath the mower handles, sometimes the crimped-on dogleg head that attaches them to the control lever breaks in half, and sometimes they break randomly. Doubling their thickness, reinforcing their connections at both ends, and enclosing them full length would probably help.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Had high hopes; am disappointed The sales person at my local lawn equipment store had great things to say about this mower. It's the right size for my 1+ acre yard. But, it does not cut as evenly as I'd like and it is very difficult to maintain and service. The mower deck has to be removed to remove and sharpen blades, there are no illustrations of the spark plug location in the manual, and even the battery hold down is awkward to reach. The operator manual is sparse, with less than a page of trouble shooting ideas. And, with less than 2 seasons of use, the mower is failing to start. It is too heavy and large to load into my vehicle to take in for service. I am very disappointed in this mower.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok unit Nothing new or amazing about this unit. The drive system is ok. It takes some getting used to. The turning system requires some muscle to actually do a full turn on a dime otherwise you have to swing way out to do it. Motor performance is the only high point I would give it though trying to find just a simple thing such as an oil filter is a hassle as you either have to go directly to a cub cadet dealer or you have to find it online. Also trying to find replacement parts via the online cub cadet site is annoying as there is no pictures so you have to either know exactly what your looking for or know some one who does is you wish to do work on it yourself. The speed of the system is so so and cut quality when set to higher speeds is nothing impressive. Overall if given a choice I would have saved my self a grand and just bought a decent push mower and been just as happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for house and small business I cut lawns as a side job and this mower is just perfect. Lawns that took me an hour to do with a 22" I am now getting done in 15 minutes. If you have a property with hills this thing would be perfect, it will practically drag you up with it. I have 50 hours on it an the drive cable went, I was getting my wallet out at the shop and the guy told me it was under warranty.. yippee! Only negative I can think of would be the handle grips being uncomfortable after prolonged use, but overall this machine is amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CC 760 ES WITH 344cc B&S Engine I purchased my mower in Sept. I use it to mow two large yards that have a lot of obstacles. The engine is powerful and runs smooth, starts right up at the turn of the key. I used it to discharge tall grass, and it did not bog down either from the mower or the drive . A second cutting and the yard looked as if it had been mulch cut. I purchased and installed the mulch plug and the results are great. It is easy to service and oil drain tube makes oil changes a simple clean operation. After 2 hours of operation and i became acustom to the operation of the machine, similair to the 900 series snow thrower, i found if you rest your palms on the drive and blade controls and lean to the direction you want to go , it gildes along as if it has power steering. The two gallon fuel tank is plenty to cut 2.5 acres on one fill up. I will admiit I added a fuel shut off valve BS-698183, for transporting and for fuel filter changes. I am very happy with my machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very impressed with mower -- better than expected! I read some of the reviews on some other sites and was a bit nervous buying this product. My price point put this and the Gravely WAW34 in my reach --- wasn't sure which one to choose. People complained on other sites about belts coming off, blades clanking together, decks bending, and quality issues for the cub cadet machine. I had a cub cadet 21" self propelled mower for 5 years with the Honda engine -- I liked it very much (engine and cut). I figured I'd try Cub Cadet again. I bought my Cub Cadet 760es about 3 weeks ago and used it 3 times on my 1/2 acre yard. The engine runs VERY smooth -- there is no surging at idle. The mower cuts really well but the mulching ability was average. I had to double cut to get rid of the clumps left behind on my kentucky bluegrass lawn in SE lower Michigan. I fixed that by changing the stock blades to a set of gator mulching blades --- mulches MUCH better now. If I use the side discharge, there are no clumps. No need to bag now. Changing the blades was easy. While changing the blades, I noticed that they weren't exactly 90* to each other as the manual said they should be. (the mower was delivered to my this way) They were off by one or two notches on the cogged timing belt. It was very easy to take off the shroud and re-time the blades (just put a 3/8 ratchet wrench into the square hole on the idler arm to give slack to the timing belt and adjust orientation of one blade relative to the other) -- they are now 90* to each other. 10 hours and I have not had any contact btwn the blades. I have 10 hours on the clock and have not had any issues with any belts coming off. If you ease on the trans engagement lever, take off is pretty smooth. I am still getting used to using this machine. It is pretty heavy and requires some muscle to turn, but it's not impossible. It reminds me of driving a car with manual steering and turning in a parking lot at low speed. Most of my mowing is in 2nd or 3rd gear -- 4th gear is too fast. I changed the oil to Mobil 1 10W-30 after 10 hours of use. Changing the oil took all of 10 minutes. Very nice setup with the silicone drain tube and valve on the side of the block. This engine actually has an oil filter too! The cleaning feature works great! Hooking up the hose to the deck is easy and it actually works. When I power wash the under side of the deck, it is 100% clean --- using the hose attachment to the deck gets the underside about 85-90% clean. I'll probably need to power wash only once a month to keep it completely clean. The quick connect for the hose is a handy feature. The deck seems to be thick enough -- I cannot see bending the deck like other people say on other sites. So far, so good. Adjusting the deck height is very easy -- I love the single lever adjustment. The single lever adjust was the feature that sold me over the gravely waw34. I don't like taking time to adjust cutting height -- I like to adjust on the fly. People complain about the handles being uncomfortable -- you just need to get used to it. I am on my 4th cut and my hands are getting stronger and it doesn't bother me one bit now. All said, I really like this mower. Everything I wanted -- wider cut pattern, big engine, easy maintenance, and lots of power. I am very happy with my purchase. I didn't need an expensive commercial mower -- this mower fit my budget and does what I need -- cuts my lawn very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product for personal use I have upgraded my Toro 21" to this 33" and it was huge difference. My lawn is little over 1/3 acre. This cut down my time in half. (Yes I mean it) it used to take more than two hours and now I am done in less than an hour. For the price it's worth every penny. Took little time to get used to gear drives. If you have 1/2 acre of lot, this is no brainer.
