So far so good, plenty of power yet easy to handle, bought a time master but got this instead because the time master would not cut tall or wet grass this thing blows right through 2 or 3 feet tall grass with no problems

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by m0er I've owned and used this model once a week during the growing season (about 30 weeks/year here) for the past 3 years. This mower is surprisingly agile and precise, and it makes mowing a pleasure. It easily powers through tall, thick, or wet grass at whatever speed I want, and it makes a nice level cut. The only problem is the cables that control the blade clutch and the forward propulsion break a lot. I'm on my third set at the moment, and I have another set sitting ready for when these break. They break in multiple ways, sometimes getting caught and abraded in the bolt heads beneath the mower handles, sometimes the crimped-on dogleg head that attaches them to the control lever breaks in half, and sometimes they break randomly. Doubling their thickness, reinforcing their connections at both ends, and enclosing them full length would probably help.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by spencerr11 Cant cut the grass
I have owned this mower since June 2015 and used it in the second half of the mowing season. I have put a little more than 75 hours on the machine. I purchased it brand new and it worked well for the first 10 hours. Since then it struggles cutting the grass and kicking it out the side. While cutting the blades slow down to where its just splitting the grass instead of slicing it to a prefect cut. It continuously bogs down while mowing. You would think the engine would be strong enough to keep the blades spinning while cutting grass that is cut weekly. Seems like a waste of money to me.

This is without a doubt the worst piece of machinery I have ever purchased. I have 1/2 acre property that has been cut with a 21 toro self propelled model for 3 years. In an attempt to save myself time and effort in mowing the yard, I purchased this wide area mower.
The first attempt at using this Cub Cadet mower ended the drive belt coming off after less than half of the yard cut. After a week in the shop, the second attempt ended with less than a third of the yard cut before the drive belt came off again. Today, I will attempt to get my hard earned money back.........

I use my CC 760 CS for commercial use and I have many people ask me about it. It has a superior cut, is great on gas, great cutting on hills, and I have even cut while its raining. I would highly recommend this mower, very pleased!

Last season my Craftsman lawn tractor bit the bullet and it was time to shop for a new lawn mower/tractor. I looked at and tested over a dozen lawn tractors (new and used). My property is flat with about a total of 1 full acre. I have a above ground pool with a deck and a stone patio off the house and another deck off the house as well. So moving around in tight spots and making sharp turns is a must for my next mower. My ideal mower would be a zero turn walk or sit mower 40" or larger. My old tractor was 32" single blade cut. As you know prices are high for a zero turn in that size so that dream was shattered when I told the wife the cost. So after "goggling" wide area mowers I came across the Cub Cadet CC 760 ES. Read some reviews and watched a few videos on Youtube from other buyers. Decided to check it out in person. Went to my local Cadet dealer and tested it out. Two days later it was delivered at my door. What I like about it: Easy to use. Powerful engine. Engine noise not as loud as I thought it would be. Solid unit - not a lot of plastics and cheap metal. Good traction on the tires (good size) Two blade system. So easy to change speeds. Has reverse! Turn key start system!
My only "wish it was better" would be the bagging system. The arm that leads off the handle bar area is high up and when you are against a fence or bushes it can get caught or snagged on something. Maybe if they designed it lower... I did read a few reviews about the drive belt slipping off. That was a concern for me and after about 10 hours of use it did happen to me. It was fairly simple to slide the belt back on by taking off the cover and loosening a few bolts. No big deal.
It has now been about 2 months and about 10 hours of use and I am 99.99% happy with my purchase!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bcheck Better mower than 20 year old model
This mower was to replace a 20 year old model. It is a much better machine. Much easier to use and much more user friendly. Quickly change gears and easy to raise or lower deck. The additional power helps mow high wet grass without clogging. It does not take a lot or maintenance and can quickly serviced. I recommend this mower. I mow around many things and this mower mows faster than a riding tractor.
