Answer:
Hello, and thank you for your question. Unfortunately, this mower does not utilize the Cub Cadet zero turn technology. The Mower utilizes caster wheels that allow for easy rotation of the unit while in operation.

Answer:
No, it doesn't, but it would be nice if it did. The two levers on the handle are for blade release and throttle -- any pivoting you have to do on your own.

Customer Reviews

33 in. Wide Area Cut Self-Propelled Gas Mower-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I have had this lawn mower since 2009 and for the most part it is reliable does a great job. However, the shoot does get clogged with grass and leaf clippings. I also think that the blade speed needs to be increased which would mulch the grass and leaves faster and finer allowing it to disperse out of the shoot. This would also help in utilizing the bag attachment that I have. Speaking of the bag attachment it is too small especially when attempting to round up the leaves in the fall. One last thing is the lever handle for the deck height sticks out too far and is too long. I'm constantly getting it hung on tree trunks and limbs. Because of this I've already had to replace it because it got broke off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Excellant Product!!! I must say after reading some of the reviews on this mower I was a little hesitant in making a purchase. Especially knowing that Cub Cadet is a name whom someone purchased and the real quality of the product itself is highly questionable. However, when it finally arrived and the shape, my yard was in, I couldn't wait to put the machine to a very strenuous test. I must say, it took on every possible awful situation that can be thrown at a lawn mower and mowed them all down with ease. I cannot say one terrible thing about this product. It starts easy, has more than enough power and took on some parts of the yard that could have been cut as hay and baled. I can't say that the two foot high stuff was cut and looking nice with one pass, I don't think any lawn mower is expected to do that, but it looked nice after the second pass. So, I give the Cub Cadet, 33 in. Wide-Area Cut Self-Propelled Gas Mower, my highest recommendation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like this product. I like this product. I've had it for one season. Starts quickly every time. Mulched the leaves with no problem. Once I got the knack of it, I'm able to move the mower easily and control it. I had an initial problem with the belt coming off, but a quick trip to the dealer and a simple adjustment fixed the problem. This mower has been a great help this season. RickP Cincinnati

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it I really like this mower. It is powerful and efficient. I have an acre, some grass and some forest. I've never had self-propelled before and I like to walk so I did not want a riding mower. This one works great for walking. It took a while to really get used to the controls but I like how controllable it is. I started out running over things but I've gotten the hang of popping it out of gear and backing it out now. All that, and yet it mows a swath as wide as any of the home improvement store's riding tractors. Very satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product with great lawn cutting results I've had this mower for 2 summer season '10 and '11 and have had great results cutting 1 acre of grass. Grass looks great; mower never clogs; mulches everything including lots of leaves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing machine Let me start by saying I almost didn't buy this mower because of negative reviews I read. Several people said it didn't cut evenly and left a lot of skippers. These people obviously do not understand that the blades are not sharpened at the factory and you have to have them sharpened before you use it. I also saw reviews where people said this machine was under powered. Not true at all. This machine climbs some seriously steep hills in my back yard with ease. It will even pull me along behind it if I am feeling lazy. The Briggs & Stratton 10.5 hp engine starts easily and effortlessly on the first pull every single time. Even if the machine has been sitting for two months during a drout because the grass isn't growing. It mulches like a champ and has tons of spare power. Tall wet grass is no problem for this mower. I did add a set of Gator Mulcher blades which mulches the grass much finer than the stock blades. I would highly recommend them. Just raise the mower deck one notch because they have more drop than the stock blades. I have owned this mower for almost a year now and I have absolutely no complaints. If you are in the market for a wide area walk behind I would tell you to go get one. You will not regret it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Machine This product was exactly what I was looking for...something that I can mow my grass with quickly while bagging. The mower does take some getting used to such as turning and handling. Once you get used to it, it is a great machine! The self propel is a plus however I would prefer a speed somewhere between gears 3 and 4 (4 is way too fast and 3 is good but just a tad on the slow side). I use gear 3 and just go with the flow and it works well. The optional bagger takes some getting used to as well but so far it seems like it is holding up. I have used this mower 6 times now with no problems. I would anticipate needing to replace the bagger at some point after it wears out but i do believe I will get at least 2 years out of it first (just a guess), Engaging the handles for the blades and the self propel must be done slowly otherwise you can expect the mower to lunge forward and you may smell burned rubber if engaged too quickly. Basically if you do not beat on it, it should work like a charm. The engine is loud and I started using hearing protection while operating the unit but I do not have any major complaints. I would recommend this product to others.
