Easy. Raise the handlebar being careful not to kink the lines, then tighten. Then attatch the chute. There are a couple of steps here, but very simple.

Answer:
Very easy! You will need a screw driver and a pliers needle nose will work best for the pins but a standard is just fine. I received mine crated, I broke down the sides assembled the handle and shoot then rolled the machine off the crate. Filled the gas, checked the oil and was up and running. Took maybe 45 min. It took most of that time to deal with the box/crate.

Starting the engine after running out of fuel and being a distance from an electric plug in could be a problem if there is no other means of starting.

3X 24 in. 277cc 3-Stage Electric Start Gas Snow Blower with Power Steering and Heated Grips is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just advanced to 3 stage Bought mine in September of 2016. Laugh all you want, but I live in South Dakota, and I try to stay ahead of our inclement weather. I've had several blowers which I hand down to my family. We had our first November storm, which came as a very heavy wet snow..And yes it blew overnight causing 3' drifts 12' long in my drive. Excited, I started my 3x and cleared my drive in no time. Never once clogged, never broke a shear pin. December 10, got our first powder snow. My beast blew it over 40 feet.. Without the wind..Lol. Overall a great machine. Downside is the center headlight and 1st gear to slow..2nd gear to fast. Really don't understand the need for 6 fwd gears, but then I don't own an Ariens and I don't care. Love my Cubby folks!!

I love everything about this three-stage electric start snow blower except for the lever that is supposed to rotate the chute. It is already not working properly and for an older woman with not a huge amount of strength in my hands, sometimes it is impossible to get the chute turned with the lever at all. I have to step to the side of the snowblower and manually move it. This is disappointing to me considering how much the snow blower costs. Why put so many plastic parts on a machine like this? Plastic parts in the winter in the Northwest don't endure cold temperatures. Perhaps the Cub Cadet design team should step back to the drawing board and reconfigure the chute and how it is operated. Other than that, I am very pleased with the machine.

And contrary to what has been said, never once broke a shear pin.Love this machine for the price and performance..heck yeah I recommend it!!

Narrow tires put more weight on a smaller area - more grip than that old snowblower you're used to. Heated grips work very well. Finger controlled wheel engagement takes some getting used to but is very helpful, especially when you want to back up under your own muscle power - which will be quicker than powered reverse. I do wish there was a way to lock up the powertrain for transport - I had to bungee the drive clutch lever down to keep the wheels from rolling. Chief gripe is the chute control - very difficult to work. I need two hands and I'm a fit middle aged dude. I could see someone spraining their wrist trying to operate it. No wonder the newer model doesn't even have the joystick anymore. If they offered a retrofit I would buy it, its that bad. I would go for what appears to be the newer model - most noticeable difference is the yellow metal chute compared to the plastic one on this model. Surprisingly the new model also has almost 100cc more engine displacement although I never felt the power was lacking on this model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penney We jus had a big snow storm here in Michigan, and this baby plowed right through it - the snow was so deep, I could hardly walk through it, but this machine had no problems. Would absolutely recommend this - boy did this come in handy - worth every penney!!!!! Very glad I purchased it, I am a 57 woman and had absolutely no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow, I'm Impressed! I had ordered this 24" because I needed something that would fit my sidewalk leading to the house easily. Not only for the accumulated snow, but also for the huge mound of snow that builds there when I rake the snow off the roof (to prevent ice dams). I did not expect this machine to be this good. I was moving in on mounds of snow 6-12 inches higher than the opening! Yes, the topmost part of the snow would fall over the top, but the point here is that this machine could handle all the snow thrown at it. I did need to drop the forward speed to F1 in order to not overwhelm it, but it cleared the mound. I really love the power steering....works like a charm. And it really throws snow far....I had to be careful not to throw my snow into the neighbor's yard. But that's easily fixed thanks to the joystick control. The heated handles are a nice touch. If I had a gripe it would be the headlight. Given where the headlight is mounted, the light is blocked by the opening and the snow chute. So the light basically illuminates the engine. You'll still need your own light. Overall, this is a great value. I'm pleased.
