Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 24 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just has the features I needed especially the power steering feature. I had to replace the previous snow blower I had because of difficulty to turn. Not only did the 28 " Cub Cadet have the power steering feature but in addition it offered a new concept in having three stage snow blowing. This combination plus electric start and a full range of power was a winning combination for me. Cub Cadet hit a home run with this product, Kados.. February 20, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by good machine This snowblower works great in deep snow but when the snow is only about 3 inches deep it just pushes it ahead like my old 2 stage did. Very disappointed with that happening. I also bought the cab for it and if you use any gear higher than 1st the front of the machine will raise up over the snow. The machine is well made and should last a long time. March 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great performance I purchased the 3X 28" blower on Sunday 25Jan2015, 24 hours before the 2015 blizzard here in New England where I received about 24+" of snow. This blower had no trouble getting through even the nearly 30" at the end of my driveway. The difference between this and my former 13 year old 2 stage blower are tremendous. Even with the amount of snow we had, I was able to clear my driveway in about an hour less time (50% reduction). I was also surprised at the low fuel consumption, maybe 1 gallon over 3.5 driveways I cleared. Add the power steering and heated grips, and I am much less sore than I used to be. the power steering does take a little getting used to, but is well worth the time. If you're considering this as an option to buy versus another, go for it, you won't be disappointed. January 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 28 inch 3 stage snowblower There is a bit of final preparation before ready for use. Mostly entails putting on the upper handle and connecting the chute. There are very clear directions which makes it easy. I have not had the opportunity to use it in the snow yet but I took it for a couple of test drives to learn the feel. I fully expect it to do an outstanding job including keeping my hands warm with the handwarming grips. October 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nice design something new three stages This cub cadet replaces a Troybilt that my family member bought from me .I'm interested in seeing how it handles a tough chicago winter and snow fall .It has the same engine that my troybilt had the 357 cc engine which never gave me a problem It blasted threw 23 inches of snow without a wimper So i was impressed it worked 10 hours that day with out giving up .the only thing is do the maintenance when it's needed and it will last you a long time . Also they came up with a new fuel that does not go bad and has no ethenol and can be bought at any repair shop for $8.00 a quart or $15.00 a gallon and it has gas stabil in it all ready to go . I all ready have some in my cub snow thrower ready to go it start of first pull cant wait to try it out first snow will provide later updates on performance ...also the steering is awesome 6 speeds forward and 2 reverse with headlight November 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This is one snow eating machine. The deeper the snow the better it likes it. Do wish that I had put the optional hand grip warmers on now that I've actually had the opportunity to operate the machine. The power steering is a real back saver and I love the electric start. Bought it to clear the plow leavings at the drive entrance and it eats right through it without bogging down. December 11, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great snowblower, not for city dwellers After doing my home work I went with this 3 stage brute. I have yet to use the electric start because it starts on the first pull even on near zero days. I didn't plan to use this machine in town, but given how much snow we've had I've been using it in town. It's way over kill. I'm scared I'm going to knock out a neighbors window and the other day it was throwing snow onto a neighbors garage roof. This is a great machine that's too powerful for city use, though it makes super quick work of even the heaviest snow plow piles. February 11, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ups and /Downs Got through 2 snow storms, did very good job. Then problems, auger belt broke, Called Home Depot don't carry parts. The contractor they had for repair out of business. The nearest to me is 50 miles away. OK, I can do this so call Cub Cadet, told them the situation, brand new machine belt just breaks. Now, belts out of stock (Middle of winter) well maybe they installed defective belts if they can't keep them in stock. It is nw going on two weeks, after the sale person on the phone promised to send one as a courtesy because the snow blower was new and it never should have happened, even though it is considered belts are our responsibility. The new rub, no belt showed up so I ordered one. three weeks now still no parts. This making for a very long winter, and a five hundred pound lawn ordainment February 2, 2014
