Just put mine together and it must be an update to the older ones. Mine came in two sections for my 42 inch mower. The tubes sort of float between each other so you can raise and lower your deck without having to mess with the tubes. Works perfect! :)

The bagger is designed with a 3-piece section tube assembly. However, some models of attachments are limited to specific units. We recommend that you consult your Owners guide and verify the correct bagger is purchased. Thank you.

Answer:
Yes the tubing comes in three sections. There is a rubber strap that holds the two bottom pieces together. This can be released to clear clogs easily. The upper piece slides over the short section and stays in place by the gasking and the lid. I have had no problems with them not staying together.

Yes, mine came with 3 sections, and I finally used duct tape to keep it together, which makes it inconvient, when i need to take apart if the tubing gets clogged

You can use them, but the bagger works much better when you use the 42" mulching blades as it cuts the glass much finer. You can purchase the blades at the Home Depot.

Yes, depends on the year of the tractor . I have the same tractor. Just FYI, you will need the extreme blades for the mower to push the clippings into the bagging system. Cub Cadet did not put a lot of thought into their bagging system prior to 2013. The 2013 version is better, but still needs some work. Shop around for the best price...

42 in. and 46 in. LTX and XT1 Bagger is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 330.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Bagger Made My Day! Just purchased 42" Cub Cadet and bought the bagger. OUTSTANDING decision. The updraft blades effectively lift, chop and propel grass through chute into collectors. Bagger is easily assembled by one person, solidly attaches to machine and is well designed to tie into mowing deck. Can easily be removed without tools to check chute or to remove whole unit. I mow about 2+ acres. Quality materials suggest this unit will continue to perform for a very long time. Could not be happier! The lawn has never looked this good. Important side note...sharp updraft blades are a key to successful, systemic operation of bagger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great !!! Follow these rules and you won't have any problems !!! When assembling for the first time spray the chute (( tube )) with silicone spray (( you can get this at any automotive store ))and reapply when cleaning or if you have problems !! 1. Don't cut grass when wet or to long !! If grass is to long GO SLOW or raise the blade height !! 2. Do not try at full speed you will have problems just take you time. Very easy to install took me about 15 minutes !! I live in Florida and have ST Augustine grass and it's tough and this works great even with the stock blades to. I did get the heavy duty blades and will change them out when the stock blades need sharpening.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 42inch XT1 bagger Upon reading reviews, negative reviews related to the feed tube leading to the bags clogging. My 1st useage resulted in this problem (I made sure the grass was dry before mowing) but he bags were really full and there was grass leakage around the deck. Subsequently I kept track of how bull the bags were by reaching back and feeling how full the bags were. The left bag fills 1st, then the second bag starts to fill. When I could feel that the right bag was full, I turned off the blades and went to dump the bags. No further incidence of feed tube clogging noted after this. When the bags get full then the mowed grass, leaves etc start to glog at the top of the tube on down to the deck if not emptied. The regular blades on the deck were more enough to ensure the grass/leaf clippings went into the baggers. Performance exceeded my expectations due to the few poor reviews I had read. But the problem was not the product, it was the user and proper emptying before the feed tube started to clog up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from cub grass catcher, mower bought the cub mower, 42", (which came highly recommended by my neighbor) .....had to have the catcher,,,,was alittle worried about it because neighbor said the catcher was only "so,so..." did some research and found out that cub had updated the older unit and made improvements ,,,,,,,home depot sold me on it by saying if i didn't like it to "bring it back!", well roger that!!!!,,,,,,anyway, hooked it up and have cut with it 7 times,,,,,i give it a 95%,,,,,stills shoots some grass clippings at the top, but works really well,,,,,,I'm hanging onto it,,,,,,,together they (mower and catcher) make a great marriage!!!!!!!,,,,,,,thanks,,,,,,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to assemble. Bags fill evenly. No plug ups on the chute, just use it when leaves or grass is... Easy to assemble. Bags fill evenly. No plug ups on the chute, just use it when leaves or grass is dry. Why would you mow when it was wet anyway? My primary use for the bagger is fall leaf pickup. It does a great job at that. Sure is easier than my old way. I've used it twice now and will use it again this week when things dry out. I reinstalled the High Lift blades before attaching the bagger. My only concern is the longevity of the foam seal on the upper chute. However, I'm sure the foam seal or equivalent can be sourced locally. Overall I'm very pleased with this attachment. Any one want a used rake?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like it should Took about 30 minutes to assemble with simple tools. The best part is that I can remove or attach it to the tractor in 3 - 5 minutes to go from mulching to vacuuming or for storage. I use it with the mulching blades and it does an acceptable job - I expect it would do even better with the original high lift blades or the available extreme lift blades. I am also impressed at how it fills the two bags equally and how easy they are to remove (slides out the back) and empty with the handle mounted on the bottom of each bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Bagger It took me about 30 minutes to install this bagger and it works really well. The only issue is with the bags themselves...whatever material they are made of attracts rodents. Chipmunks love them for making their nests and will gnaw holes in them in no time. If the chipmunks like them, so will mice and rats. The manufacturer needs to look at a different material or treating the current material with a product that will repel rodents. Replacements bags are expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great grass bagger So let me start by saying that you can tell its made in the good old USA. Build quality is heavy duty, and fit my tractor perfectly. My grass is very thick as I fertilize 5 times a year. Everytime I cut my gras, the clippings are all over the driveway, which I have to rake up and throw away. Even after the raking and using the leaf blower, I still have grass all over. This bagger solves thay problem as the grass is collected nicely in the double bags. All you have to do is lift the lids and empty the bags and walla. ..done. I seen a few comments about the bags not filling up on both sides, but I have the mulching blades installed like they recommend and have not had this problem. The bags are a bit smaller, but I only empty mine twice after cutting a half acre. As for installation, it not bad at all. The directions are written well, and I also added a few pictures for you to view which may help. The only problem I see with the bagger is when you need to take it off when attaching a pull cart. They do add a second hole to the mounting bracket, but i can see that being a pain when switching between the two. Other than that, I really like this bagger, and recommend this to anyone who hates clumps of glass on their driveway.
