Answer:
It's a replacement part number. I have an LTX1045 and bought them for my machine. Package showed both numbers.

Answer:
The blades for 46 in. Mower Blades for 2009 Cub Cadet Series 1000 LTX Lawn Tractors (2-Pack) have a new part number of 942-04244A. Only the number has changed. The blades themselves are exactly the same.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk blades My blades also dug into the ground and bent after 1 hour of mowing. I adjusted the guide wheels on the mowing deck to a higher cut. Bent the blade back to shape and it happen again within an hour of mowing. Brought new blade and the same thing happen. This is a new club cadet 46" cut and I am very unhappy. May not pay not homedepo credit card until I get a reimbursement and better blades. May 13, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JUNK Used these blades for the first time on my second cutting this year( changed from the org. to a new blade)One blade dug into my lawn and looked like i had used the garden tiller on it. I took the blades off to see how bad it was bent but to my suprise nither one was out of shape. So i put them back on and contunied to mow when about 20 min. later the same thing happened???? Sharpened my old ones put them on and finished. I can think of no reason for this to happen except the blades are flexing enough yo dig into the dirt. My deck and tire pressure is checked several times a year. May 2, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Can't Believe Cub Cadet Put Their Name On Them! After replacing the old blades with these new blades, I noticed that the cut was not smooth/even and when turning, the blade actually cut into the ground. After taking them off the mower, you could actually see that one blade had about a half inch bow/bend on one end of the blade. I can't believe Cub Cadet actually put their name on this product. l returned them to my local Home Depot store without incident. July 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Difficult getting new mower blades Bought my cub cadet in november 2011 from Home Depot.Bent a blade this summer and went back to same store to purchase new blades and store did'nt have them but would do a store transfer and would have them next day .Returned to store two days later and no blades but lots of excuses at Decatur Alabama store .Went online and got my blades promptly.Thamk you. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Best price, same quality. This was the best price I could find for OEM twin package Cub Cadet blades. Replaced old blades after 50 hours of use because blade bent. After 4 hours with new blades, blades are bent. Granted my lawn is not smooth so I'm not surprised but it would be nice if the price was less to compensate for the lack of beef. August 17, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OEM Blades - No other choice Fit a 2011 Cub 1000 series w/ 46" deck as expected. Excellent value. These are the only blades available for the deck at this time and are not particularly heavy duty but cut well if you don't hit or scalp anything with them and give a quick initial sharpening to improve the edge and remove the paint. July 9, 2011
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Low quality for the price. I bought OEM blades expecting high quality. They are cheap stamped blades that will probably only last one season like the blades that came with the mower. They should sell for $19.97 instead of almost $50. September 13, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exact OEM Match Bought these blades online because my local store cannot keep them stocked. They are an exact match for the mower and high quality part. They seem to hold an edge much longer than generic blades. April 3, 2012
