Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use. Once I spent some time on this mower I really started to like it. everything seems to be well thought out. changing the engine oil is as easy as You could ask for. the reverse lock out switch is an excellent feature making it easy to use when no one else is around, plenty of power, my yard looks great. We have about one acre and it is actually fun to cut the grass now, would buy one again. August 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazed I did a lot of looking and thinking before I bought this mower. And I must say that I am totally amazed at the way this mower handles and cuts. I went from a John Deer to this mower. I loved my John Deer but I will probably never go back to the Deer. My yard looks so much better than it ever did. My mowing time went from an hour and 15 minutes to about 40 minutes. I use to really dread mowing time, but now I can't wait for the grass to grow. September 8, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Zero Turn Love It!!! Great mower my lawn looks better than ever. Cuts like a dream! Cut my mowing time down from about 11/2 hours to about 30 min. Took this mower to my sisters yard that usually take around 40 minutes to cut with my old tractor style mower. Mowed her yard in about 10 minutes. Love it should have bought one a long time ago. Now I really look forward to cutting grass again. Thanks Cub Cadet!! August 7, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needs Work After my first mowing of my lush lawn I have about 10 burned areas in the lawn from the poorly designed exhaust that burns the lawn if you go too slow or have to stop with the machine. My neighbor who can fix any motor added a diverted to the exhaust for me but I am very disappointed cub cadet has not cared enough about the product or customer to fix this problem. Otherwise it is fine. My walk behind did a much better job mulching lawn. May 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Only Nit-Picky Complaints, Otherwise Great I researched this mower quite a bit before buying it 25 days ago. I've put it through the ringer testing it out before the 30 day return window elapses. I've been quite pleased so far. Some high points and low points. Good Great traction and hill climbing. I thought i'd get stuck several times in my hilly property, but the mower climbed right out. If a wheel spins, a turn of the wheel will change traction to crawl out fine. Motor starts fine and has ample power for knee high grass. Cuts smoothly and throws clippings far, even in wet grass. Wash feature is nice Tight controls steering and on pedals. Not so Good PTO cutout on reverse is a pain, but i just unplugged the switch to bypass that feature. In first hour cutting it blew smoke and lost power (as described in prior review) but i haven't been able to recreate the conditions since. Slightly loose handle on throttle lever, but not a problem. LED caution lights on switch panel do notline up with sticker, so lights are hidden. All around, i've found this mower to be a good purchase. I used to bemoan cutting the grass and now it is a pleasure. Thanks Cub Cadet! August 6, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mixed feelings about this mower I have only owned my RZT-46 zero turn mower for less than a year ( one season ) and when I removed the mower deck to make sure it is clean and in good condition before starting the new cutting season , I noticed that the paint under the deck was flaking off everywhere , obviously it was not cleaned of stamping oils before being painted at the factory and the metal was already pitting badly. I think the washout system makes it worse. I had to remove all of the flaking paint and chip guard the entire bottom surface which the factory should be doing. If I wouldn't have noticed this problem , the deck would have rusted through in just a couple years. Other than that , so far I love the mower but couldn't recommend buying one because the deck would be expensive to replace and it should last more than a couple years for the price that is put on these mowers. I get eight to ten years out of my cheap hand mowers and the decks are still not rusted out. May 12, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Love hate relationship First and foremost the handling of this mower is great. Cub has got something here with the steering wheel zero turn. Stability on hills is great, low center of gravity is a bonus as well as I am not making anymore zero turn divits. I bought this mower to replace a 10 year old zero turn Gravely. The gravely would climb a hill and not argue. However it was a 3 blade mower and the deck would have to be cleaned at least a couple of times per mowing session The Cub Cadet Deck has never clogged up even in wet grass. In all fairness I cut 2 yards my moms and my mothers which is 5 acres total in 2 days, sometimes on the same day. I got home with my new Cub and mowed the first time and fell in love with it until I climbed a 45 degree hill, it started to blow oil smoke out the exhaust. I later learned it was a Kohler problem with a gasket left out of the engine. Then the mower started frying clutches with only 11 to 20 hours of service on the mower. After a total of 3 clutches and numerous trips to the dealer Cub finally warranted the mower . I mowed the rest of that season and the next with minimal problems. Now I am in the next season and my cub just has troubles climbing hills, you have to back off the pedal and let the hydros develop pressure to go on. Also the drive belt will slip off occasionally and you have to loosen the slip gard to coax the belt back on. Bottom line, I love this mower and hate this mower. I would expect better performance from something that costs this much. Lastly it is difficult to replace belts on this unit. June 18, 2013
